This came as a revelation after last night's depressing loss. I can't be mad as hell anymore. It's eating me up inside. My digestive system is going haywire (@tdawg87 can relate), every new update on Trout's never-ending calf strain is causing acid reflux, my heart meds need upgrading, etc. 
I've got a new strategy now. I don't give a damn. Go ahead and sweep us, Oakland! Have at it! Let this franchise go its mediocre way and drift in 3rd and 4th place for the next decade, see if I care! Life is too short. At least there's Ohtani.
I'm going the Joe Maddon route, with a nice glass of Cabernet and a joke or two. Cishek, come on in and blow another game wide open! Trout, take another year off and rest that calf! Rendon....who's Rendon?? Arte, go out and buy another expensive 34-year old free agent. 
Oh, and I'm thinking of trying meditation. Helps to bring the blood pressure down. 
O blessed peace in finally putting this fan experience in perspective. It helps that we won a World Series. They'll never take that away from us.

Whether the Angels make a post-season or not I would start offering him extensions now. The Angels have some leverage in that they can buy out his $5m next year and his final arbitration year and get him to the big money sooner than FA, and maybe he can see the potential in the pitching coming through and he signs for a few years more, he clearly has fun playing here. But, if he isn't extended by the end of 2022 I think I would have to very reluctantly trade his final year away for the prospect haul - and that would be a sad day. Extend him now I say, take the Angels' future performance out of the equation.

Albert going into the HOF is comparable to Ken Griffey Jr getting in. Both will be enshrined for the first 10 years of their career not the second decade.
