i'm not going to read this thread, because i have a pretty good idea of what is going to be in it. i did read the article and there is too much in there for me to pick apart, suffice to say albert has a disconnect between his ego, his history and his reality. the thing that annoyed me the most in the article wasn't any of albert's quotes as those are understandable, it was alden's statement that albert's approach is still like it used to be, which isn't true from what i've seen.

so, tj simers retired. good news. hope it stays that way.

the fact that there's not a single response to this thread after 71/2 hours speaks volumes.

that is one of the scenarios i am for. i think they both should be playing for their jobs, but i don't know that they are. i am satisfied with what we're doing in the minor leagues and draft, given the situation they were given.

we all can argue back and forth, but one thing many, if not most, could agree on is it's the same old angels day after day after day. we are settling in as a middling franchise and i'm not cool with it. it's hard to feel positive about this team for very long.

albert pujols is the worst FA signing in baseball history. i don't want him to be, but i just don't see how he's not.

yeah, he looks like a good player. definitely wouldn't have been upset if the LAA took him, but like i said earlier, it's hard to hate on big hard throwing lefties.

why don't the angels trade up?! get back into the first round! we need a TE.

i haven't seen newcomb pitch, but it's hard to argue against big lefties that throw hard.

i see terrible balance from gettys in that video. probably helps to explain his trouble with swing and miss. based off of that video i'm not a fan.

pomeranz was a first round top ten selection, from what i remember, then was traded by baltimore to colorado where no pitcher has ever had success. the A's made a very shrewd move in acquiring him. basically, every team should look to acquire any rockies pitcher that has shown good stuff, because their value is going to be way lower than what your returns may be. the exact opposite holds true logically for rockie hitters.

i think the angels already covered that this weekend.

oakland sucks. they're just lucky. they'll get exposed in the postseason. <-------or so i've heard.
