i think this is great.  why should the government validate marriages anyway.  its stupid.  everyone wins here really.

The Angels literally would've been better off not making ANY moves, than making the moves Eppler made.  He could've done NOTHING and we'd still have bee an 80-85 win team.  Instead, Eppler traded away our only freakin' prospect and a franchise player in Erick Aybar, and the end results is an 80-85 win team.
 
We lost our top prospect, for nothing.

The Simmons trade looks retarded now, not because of who/what Simmons is, but because we traded away a young SP prospect with high upside. If you're going to punt on the next couple of years, why not keep Newcomb (and Ellis for that matter) in your system and let him develop - maybe he turns into an ace.

Not only that.... trading your top prospect for a SS makes is pretty questionable if you aren't going to jump in on a deep free agent outfield market.

Disagree...some situatiuons are not tenable.  This isn't a marriage...he's not a soldier in a foxhole...its a job.  If he's not allowed to do the job he was hired to do and is basically ignored, he's not required to stick around. 

Reminds me of the movie "Take this job and shove it".

At this point I don't care who leaked out the information, the loss of Jerry Dipoto is a major blow to this team period in my opinion.
You can't be a General Manager with your wings clipped. Moreno of all people should understand that yet he put Jerry in that position from the beginning.

I hope Towns is available at #2 for the Lakers. Towns is not an elite athlete, but he is fluid, smart, and just good at everything as a center. Kinda plays like Marc Gasol.
If Towns is taken at #1, I hope the Lakers explore drafting Mudiay or Russell. Okafor scares me. Bad FT%, no jump shot right now, and more importantly his defense looks awful from some of the highlights I've seen.
