NachoPop got a reaction from Taylor in Andrelton Simmons
While his prowess in the field has long been his calling card I was pleasantly surprised by the numbers he's putting up with the bat. I knew he was going well but I didn't know just HOW well. Leading the league in AB per SO too. Where do you think he'll end up numbers wise at the end of the year?

NachoPop reacted to Second Base in The Official 2018 Minor League Statline and Prospect Discussion Thread
It was good to see Fernandez back in the lineup. If he stays healthy and keeps hitting, and the Angels offense keeps scuffling, that promotion should come in the next couple weeks.

Top of the lineup for the 66ers tonight:
1. Jones 2B
2. Adell CF
3. Marsh RF
If that doesn't get you pumped I consider you less of an Angels fan

Jones has vastly improved from start of the season defensively at 2nd. I think he can stick.

kind of like Howie did. A little unnatural but his athleticism will get him through and turn him avg to slightly above. It's all about reps right now. You can tell which guys didn't grow up in the middle infield and were put there because of raw ability. That's Jones. He'll be a very good major league 2b some day.

Give Kole and Kinsler a short leash and if they don't improve soon I'd like to see:
1) Simmons
2) Trout
3) Ohtani
4) Upton
5) Pujols
6) Cozart
7) Blash / EYJ (while Kole sorts himself out in AAA)
8 ) J. Fernández / Fletcher (bye Ian ?)
9) Rivera / Maldonado

NachoPop got a reaction from laagamer in Chris Young
I know that the environment is typically very hitter friendly but it is great to see just how good the Bees batting has been. A bunch of guys there to give some of the struggling current roster reasons to watch their backs

Baldoquin: 1.000/1.000/4.000/5.000.
Just saying.........

NachoPop reacted to AngelsFanSince86 in Yelich Dissatisfied in Miami
I still can't wrap my head around this one. Yelich is definitely an upgrade, but I just feel like Kole is part of the core and not someone you want to remove from the equation. The Giants won 3 world series in 5 years despite not being the best team on paper at any point. That was largely due to their team chemistry. Kole is a good clubhouse guy and has been there for years and has been solid. I don't think it would automatically equate to a better team.
I keep getting a little excited when I see stuff like this because part of me wants to see it happen, but when I think about it I just don't see it working out the way you would hope.
Who knows though. Could be great.

Whenever I see Walsh I think of Blair.

NachoPop reacted to gurn67 in Why is everyone not penciling in Parker Bridwell into the rotation
Bridwell made more quality starts in his 20 outings than Skaggs, Shoemaker, Heaney & Richards did in their combined in 41 outings.
