Cards have 8 or 9 candidates for the rotation next year.
 
Angels are better off trying to get one of them for Peter Borjous.    That could work for both sides.    Gives the Cards an upgrade over Jon Jay and the Angels a cost controlled young starter.   

That will give the A's home team advantage next time they play there.

As a Cardinals fan, I have mad respect for Albert Pujols and what he did for 11 years in St. Louis.   It wasn't meant to go any longer I guess.
 
I have no ill or bitter feelings that he left for the Angels.   I wasn't happy when he left, but it didn't take long for me to realize what was for the best, and I've never blamed him for taking the better deal.
 
I know I'm not every Cardinals fan, but we aren't all butthurt about events of 2 years ago.
 
I wish Albert luck, hope he has a monster year next year.  I am a big enough fan of him that I come to Angels boards.

Been said here already, but congrats to them. Took down a team that most talking heads (and to be fair, lots of informed people) had beating them. Got through a long season fighting off two other very good teams.
 
Obviously, most impressed with the way theyve not only been able to build from within, but how theyve managed to do so while always staying competitive. 4th WS appearance in a decade.....thats very impressive. And unlike most of the teams that are around this october, they arent built to 'win now'. Theyre built to win for a while, and they still have the top prospect in in the minors waiting for a shot.

This isnt meant to call out our FO, just acknowledging a well run organization. Ive read a few on here say they dont want the Cards in the series, and I dont get it. Yeah, it would be cool for someone new. But theres really no one unlikeable on that team. (For now at least).
 
I have a feeling after going through the pirates and dogs pitching, their offense is gonna finally get it going against (likely) Boston.

I've attended a few Cardinal games - those fans are the best in baseball IMO.  Next to the Yankees they have won the most WS.

I'm already geared up for 2014 and I believe Pujols is going to crush it next season.

That is why Puig will never be a Trout or McCutchen.  He has all the talent in the world, but the guy has a personality and attitude that will ruin his rep.  He is like a more talented Jose Guillen.

They both suck but at least Trumbo leads the team in HR and RBI (tied with Trout). Hamilton is just absurd and I hate him and his stupid face.

I love the stupid steroid argument above. If an old guy gets hurt and regresses, he's on roids. If he kills the ball he's on roids. No matter what he does a player is on roids.
