I think they built a HB next to "Laguna Woods Village" in LH. I would imagine it gets lots of business from the elderly who live right next door. Never been there.

we all probably would have done the same thing since he had his wife and 5 month old in the car.
i would have then headed immediately to the PD, calling them on the way to let em know whats what.
or stay on the freeway and get highway patrol on the horn.
 
what sucks is he hit a red light in traffic in the city and they pulled him out and beat him.

You're generally pretty astute when it comes to actual baseball stuff, which makes it pretty baffling that you exhibit such relative silliness when talking about this.
 
A lot can change in 4 years. For instance, 4 years ago...
 
-the Angels were in the ALCS. 
-the A's finished 22 games behind the Angels
-the MARINERS won 85 games
-the Twins won 86 games and the Royals won 65
-the Pirates won 32 fewer games than they did this year
 
The ONLY guy that's on the books past 4 years is Pujols. Why can't some of you seem to realize that when evaluating whether or not we can afford to sign Trout? If this organization makes moves that make it more competitive and treats Trout with respect as time goes on, if it offers him a fat check that kicks in four years from now, there's a damn good chance he sticks with the Angels.

I have no issue whatsoever with the Yankees holding a ceremony for Mariano Rivera and acknowledging the accomplishments of Andy Pettitte, two major components of a perennial championship contending team. That said, I draw a degree of satisfaction from knowing that neither of them will be adding to their postseason stats.

well, whatever on all this -- IMO Mariano Rivera is having one of the classiest finale's ever and his 'goodbye' tour has been impressive.

I also happen to like the way Jeter has always played the game.
 
These guys are throw-backs who brought the grit from days gone by to today's game.
 
When they're gone, who's going to fill their shoes in this regard........not too many of today's players who GET IT, quite frankly.
 
May not like the Yankees, but have to respect Jeetz and Rivera as classy good ballplayers who play the game right.

If the Yankees have any class, they will have a Mike Scioscia Day the next time the Angels visit New York.

Kids born when I got my drivers permit are now old enough to be president of US. Male drivers that were born they day I got my job not only drive but are old enough (25) for their car insurance to go down. And every Texas ranger fan ever born still hasn't seen a world championship of their own.

Being a Cowboys fan, this really sucks for me. One of the games I look forward to the most is the Thanksgiving Day game and seeing the Cowboys wear their Thanksgiving Throwbacks. I think it's one of the best looking Throwbacks in the NFL and its something special seeing them once a year. Now, looks like that tradition might be gone. I don't know why teams would wear their current helmets with throwback jerseys so I can just see them stopping it completely.

What does it say when people bash others for "showing class" on a retiring player who has had a hall of fame career?

Plus, Mariano Rivera is one of the classiest dudes in baseball. In an industry characterized by so many douches, I see no problem with honoring a quality human being.
