Giavotella was almost broken in two by Odor. Utley should be suspended for the rest of the season. The commissioner needs to ass slam one of these clowns and the rest will protect their paycheck.

That means he didn't have too many chances to drive anyone in and the rest of this team sucks balls.

I hated the deal from day 1.
 
From day 1 he has been a major disappointment except for a few small stretches.
 
6 more years sounds disastrous. 
 
He gained my respect this year. Watching him hobble around and still hit 40 hr was pretty cool. 
 
I will never question his heart. 
 
Despite being massively overpaid, Pujols should be a solid DH for us for the next several years.

I'm with Lawrence and the U-verse reliability commercial real f'ing drives me crazy.  Especially when it comes on after an inning where the Angels implode; the commercial is at times symbolic of their meltdowns.  =(

Josh Hamilton hit 43 home runs the year before we signed him. He was viewed as one of the best comeback stories in sports, someone who threw everything away, but salvaged a career and his life at the last minute.
 
Why some people on here blame Arte for the fact that Hamilton regressed into his former self is beyond me. Arte wanted his team to win. He needed a left handed bat and he needed power.
 
Don't rip an owner who spends money trying to make his team better. Rip the guy who doesn't. He's the one ripping off his fans.

I dont think dipoto could have predicted that weaver would nosedive, Joyce would be literally the worst player in mlb, iannetta would completely forget how to hit, and the bullpen to be as mediocre as it has been.
This is far from a perfect team, but there are several players that have fallen flat on their faces

Give the kid a break, he is willing to put the blame on himself.

I was listening to the radio when his second gaffe happened (I think it was the baserunning). Terry Smith (and to a certain extent, Langston) went off on his errors for, seriously, three or four minutes.
 
I had just turned on the radio, so i was trying to figure out what was going on... Smith just kept hammering the kid.  It occurred to me: Smith never criticizes Angels players, certainly not this length of time.  It was the dude's first couple innings of play.  Smith almost sounded like a bully to me.  If he wants to criticize players, fine.  But there are 25 players on the roster (and a manager).  I know damn well that Smith would never give that kind of treatment to the well paid veterans.
 
Seems kind of petty... pick on the rookie.

Props to Albert who is playing some very solid baseball. If Trout, Pujols and Calhoun play well together this team is going to take off.
Congrats to Albert for catching Mantle.

First time since Albert has been an Angel, I witnessed an at bat that truly shows his stuff.  With the count 3-1, Albert thought he got a pitch out of the strike zone, but was rung up for a strike.
 
He got back into the box and drove the 3-2 pitch out of the park.  As an Angel player, I've seen him take a pitch like that, roll over on it, and ground out....but not last night.  
 
That was a vintage Albert at bat...one of a kind player, future Hall of Famer.  
 
Yeah, maybe Albert will never be the great, consistant hitter for us as he was for the Cards.  But hey---we are truly blessed as Angels fans to be able to watch Albert Pujols and Mike Trout take the field every night and do some great things!  
 
Hopefully Albert will continue on this roll and have a great season for us!
