To be completely honest, I am quite glad the David Fletcher story is over here.  I am glad for his modest success and it was a nice story way back when.  But I was done with the automatic optimism that this guy was going to ever return to being a valuable player.

Let’s take a moment to recognize how good this guy is at basketball. He’s like if Albert Pujols actually lived up to his contract at 39 or whatever his actual age was when he signed with us. It’s really incredible.

I think the biggest indicator that the Angels are still in it is because of the moves made and not made so far. Seems pretty safe to assume Perry isn’t spending or wheeling and dealing until Ohtani is settled.

The Angels operate in secrecy; I’ll believe we are still in it until Ohtani makes his decision. 
 
nobody predicted us signing Albert, CJ, Trout extension, and Ohtani. If there is one thing that Moreno is excellent at; it’s keeping a lid on how he’s operating. He’s very much in this fight, his ego will not lose Ohtani to the Dodgers without an excellent sales pitch and effort. Are we the favorites to sign him? Maybe not but this won’t be an easy decision for Ohtani. 

It will be the worst thing a Japanese person has ever done to us on a 7th of December.
