If this were any of the major sports except baseball I'd agree it's silly to trade Trout. But it's baseball - one guy in your lineup just doesn't make that big of a difference. I think a lot of the fans on here underestimate just how bad of a spot this franchise is in. Trading Trout is no guaranteed ticket back to contention in a few years but it's a gamble the Angels should make IMO.

Like I stated in a previous post, it would have to be a monster haul.  Basically us cleaning out a good/great farm and getting major league ready guys.

Again, I care about the team first.  If trading Trout makes the Angels better, I'm on board.

His legs don't have anything to do with his pitch selection and approach at the plate though. 
By all rights he should be hitting fewer homeruns and doubles, but still putting up a good OBP..

What needs to happen is when a player tests positive the team should have the right to void the contract at the end of the year the player was suspended.

I absolutely was thinking this when both teams started off in an 0-2 hole.  I didn't like the Sharks match up for the Kings because the Sharks had to ****ing want that series win so badly with the history between the 2 teams.  It seems like the Ducks didn't take the Predators as a serious opponent to begin with and by time they did it was too late.  With how San Jose finished the season I don't think the Ducks would've taken them lightly.  Who knows how it would've turned out but it couldn't be worse than both so cal teams being out.

I think he was still hurt in early playoff games, but man what a great season he had.

His contract will hurt in the last year or two, but he's totally worth it now and foreseeable future.

I agree with Underthehalo's view of the game.   I couldn't do anything but laugh on my drive home.  Ducks showed up and still can't win a game 7.  Oh well, at least the Halos swept the Royals.  It's now officially MLB season for me.
