He drew the clutch intentional walk that lead to the walkoff.

    Thanks Hamilton!

CJ Wilson is more interested in his hair and race cars than earning the huge amount of money he is being paid.

If we're lucky, Pujols will go on the DL and we can take his dead weight off our lineup. That would immediately increase our hitting with RISP.

Oakland only has a 2-run lead in the 8th. Do you think they can possibly hold on to win? That would mean an automatic loss to the Angels.

Every pitch: 93 mph. four-seam fastball. Gotta give him credit for consistency.

It's not about winning or losing, it's about helping bad relievers build their self esteem.

Well, the pitching staff have all done their job tonight. Even Salas has been good. Offense has to STEP UP!

Be interesting if Frieri comes in for the save after mouthing off about beating the A's. He better put his money where his mouth is!

    Hello,
Whenever I travel to southern California, I stay n Downtown Los Angeles and take the Angels Express train to the stadium. It's very inexpensive and and never crowded. Seven dollars round trip (6 for seniors). I recommend it because it allows you to visit historic L.A., and get to the stadium without having to fight the terrible auto traffic of the So Cal freeways.
    Enjoy your visit

Waybackman got a reaction from acro2008 in ugly, but relax
I was at the game last night. After the first inning I did relax. I knew it was over so I just enjoyed being at the park and joking with the A's fans. What disturbed me though was watching Pujols. I don't get to see him play in person much. He looks pathetic. He runs worse than Bengie Molina, he looks fat and old. I can't believe he is only 34. We are stuck with a player who has gone from a great asset to a big liability in 3 years. If he continues to bat in the 3 or 4 position it will doom us.

The Angels signed Ibañez, Mulder, Burnett, Blanton, Hamilton, Pujols, etc., etc. The Giants signed Hudson & Morse last year and they are important parts to a team that is 16 game over .500. Giants won 2 WS in the last three years. Who do you think has a better GM?

Waybackman got a reaction from Frieri Meatball in Orange County Register: Angels Afterthoughts: Ode to Kevin Jepsen
Jepsen didn't pitch well at all. He was saved by two great catches. If either one of those wasn't caught (especially Green's spectacular play), the game would have probably been lost. Scioscia constantly mismanages the BP. Morin came in and retired the side on 11 pitches. Why oh why wasn't he allowed to pitch the next inning? It would probably Have prevented Salas coming in and using either Smith or Frieri. Scioscia refuses to let players doing well continue to do well, either hitters or pitchers. His style is obsolete and, in my opinion he has outlived his worth for this team.

Watch the A's with runners on. They are light years better than the Angels. If they keep playing the way they are, they will leave us in the dust.
