What a great farm system. We rotate absolutely worthless prospects back and forth and they all bomb. Bedrosian has had how many chances here?

Announcers are so bored they're talking more about their food than the game. I don't blame them.

Just say no. Please, no more past-their-prime veterans. We are the veteran graveyard. Gio is far from perfect, but we should give him a chance to develop. We are not going anywhere near the WS this year, so let's stay with what we've got and build on that.

Scioscia's decision to pitch to Altuve was the turning point. Incredibly- bad managing.

Shoe needs work as a reliever. Looking a bit like Frieri today.

Salas in. Better beat the crowd exiting the parking lot.

Last night was over a hundred degrees on the ground in a notoriously hitter friendly environment in El Paso. You can't fault Heaney there.

The problem with the Angels lineup is not the order of the hitters but that there aren't enough of them. It's hard to make a good lineup with 3 good hitters, 3 ok ones and 3 bad ones.

This is a great quote Fletch.  It is the think that fans keep forgetting.  Our offense sucks.  It doesn't suck because of who bats where, it sucks because we only have three good hitters.

Mike Wright, Wade Miley, Odrisamer Despaigne. A who's who of abysmal pitchers that will have their best starts of the season against our pathetic offense.

Not sure why some people seem so excited about Green. He just seems to be part of the Angels' carousel of mediocre players that go round and round between the bigs and AAA.

Not directly related to this game, but just saw this blurb in Alden Gonzalez's news and notes column.  This kid is cursed:

"Hunter Green, the 19-year-old left-hander who was taken in the second round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft, suffered a stress fracture in his elbow while throwing in extended spring training and could be out a while, Servais said. Green missed all of 2014 with back issues, but Servais expects him to pitch again before the end of the year."

Weav's done as an MLB starter. It's hard to let go because of how good he's been and how much he's meant to the Angels and the fans and the other way around.
But it doesn't change the fact that beloved as he may be, he doesn't belong in the rotation anymore. If the Angels want to win the West, they'll need Weaver out and Tropeano in. Keep Weav on in somewhat of a coaching and team leader capacity, but keep him off the mound in anything less than a blowout.

Cowgill, absolutely. It's not just Hamilton's two years of bringing next to nothing to the team, it's the strange coincidence that when he isn't in the lineup, THE TEAM SCORES MANY MORE RUNS!

When I read all the hype about Hamilton really looking forward to playing in the postseason and Scioscia's bs about him being almost ready, I knew he was going to play. I told my wife, the moment he's in the lineup our offense will shutdown. I guess when you're paid so much money, you can't be judged by your true value. Very sad. I'm not superstitious, but isn't it a strange coincidence how this team changes when Josh plays or doesn't?
