and say the Angels will keep Heaney in the rotation. I don't know how but they won't send him down or send him to the bullpen, although he would solve some problems in the bullpen. If I had to guess I would say they will either trade CJ or Shoe, or put Shoe in the pen. Whatever they do it is a good problem to have.

I started this thread because it seems as though a lot of people on here believe Sosh will pull Heaney from the rotation, because he isn't a veteran. Obviously we all want him to stay but there are people who think he won't be.

I think Heaney goes back to Salt Lake.  Shoemaker has been improving of late, right?  Can't see that they'd send him to Salt Lake and ruin whatever value he has, either to the team or in a trade.  The more pitchers the Angels have that are pitching well, the more value they have in trades or to the team.

The Angels will likely end up trading both CJ and Shoemaker.....this offseason. Tropeano's ready to be a pretty good MLB starter.

Shoeaker has a 3.35 ERA his last eight starts. If he doesn't have good trade value now, keep him in the rotation and see if he can keep putting up these good numbers. I wouldn't mess with Shoe right now, as I think he can either help the big club or get a decent piece in a trade (if he stays in the rotation and keeps pitching like he has the last eight starts).

Obviously our best bet is to try and trade CJ, but I can't imagine he has much if any trade value given the money he is owed next year.

If Arte is willing to take on a shitty contract in return I think he could be a decent starter for a NL team.
