We have signed the best player in all of our lifetime's to contract in which he'll finish out his career with the Angels. 
It doesn't get better than this. 
A future that will consist of Trout, Ohtani and Adell is pretty damn exciting. 

Honestly if I were him I’d follow this round of thinking - don’t chance it - right now you can be sure to be the highest paid player in baseball why risk it - I imagine that he will not decline in skill over the next two years but you never know about injury 

They should just make it like a giant floating barge that they can sail around the coast 
 

Eveeyone likes to make the natural comparison of Mike Trout to Mickey Mantle. Mike should think about the major knee injury Mantle sustained getting his cleat caught on a sprinkler in the outfield. Something like that could happen to him over the next two seasons and throw a wrench into his schedule of baseball and financial immortality. 
Don’t risk it Mike. Your value is peaked. Everyone knows you are the best in baseball and deserve to be the highest paid. Be smart and get a deal done that will set the next century of Trouts up for life with financial security.

Maybe they should start with correcting the team name.  The plural form of Marlin is Marlin, not Marlins.  Would anyone be dumb enough to make a team the Deers?

But some of the doom and gloomers on here need to read this. Weve signed poorly, drafted and developed just as poorly. But the death of just about every SP weve had the last 4 or so years is whats killed us. (That and not producing our own players).

I think everyone can agree that any kind of production out of him with the bat was a bonus. When we signed him, we got the top pitching prospect in all of baseball. 
Nobody is even close when comparing stuff and he has already shown as a 20-year old that he can get out major league hitters on a national scene. 

Let's hope that the team gives him plenty of time to adjust to the MLB before making major decisions.

Hmmm - I'd say you do - plus to overcome the fear of it happening again takes a strong person to get back out there . 

I think at this point the organization needs to realize  that neither can be counted on - if either comes back and doesn't just go right back on the DL that's a bonus - gotta get more pitching 

Interesting that the guy who had to have brain surgery Has thrown more pitches and has been in more games than Richards/ Skaggs 

I can't imagine that he will throw another pitch in a game this season - hope I'm wrong 

Everything will go fine until hist first rehab start. Then he'll feel "tightness" in his bicep, and be shut down to be "re-evaluated". 
If he pitches again for this team I'll be shocked.
