It really is confusing to see the Angels put Velasquez and Padlo in a major league lineup but keep Adell down in AAA. I do understand the need for defense, but those two, combined with Walsh basically just forfeit 1/3 of the lineup from an offensive standpoint. One of the things that got the Angels in prime position in the first place was lineup depth and one would think they'd prioritize that.

He is 6’3”.  Did you think a 6’3” guy wouldn’t gain weight from age 18 to 23?  He weighs 215.

Pen not coughing up leads routinely or turning tight deficits into 4+ run ones seems to help a lot in winning ballgames. Who knew. The infusion of arms with actual velo has been a welcomed sight to pair with Estevez at the end of games. This was the stretch where they needed to start making their run and so far they're answering the call. Right now, feel like the team's need around the deadline is ideally another good reliever and a SP. Offense has taken quite a hit with injuries and Trout mired in the worst stretch of his career, but I think they're OK on that front and all things considered, I'll always opt for the team to improve their run prevention first and foremost.

We won. That is all that counts. Estevez will be just fine. It was a good sign for the future that when our closer has an off game, we have someone with the ability and steel nerves and resolve to bail him out and quickly quench the fire. That happened today, and it was beautiful. Three out of four, on the road, against a very good team.

Not sure what the beef is. 5 game win streak bookended by crappy starts from Sandoval. Let's see what we get from Canning tomorrow before we fret too much 

Ben Revere couldn't muster a league average OBP if his life depended on it -- Rada's game seems to be centered around his plate discipline.  I'm assuming you're saying he'll be a speedy slappy type and maybe comparing them physically but, I'd personally hold off making physical comps until he's at least 20 and has had time to discover McDonalds and the weight room.  The other big difference is Rada can and has shown the ability to pull FBs -- he's not doing it often, partially because he's very much contact first in his approach but he's shown he can. Dude is just physically overmatched, he's 4.4 years younger than the league average age (The CA League has the oldest average age in Low A). 
It's just too early to really comp him, simply because the body isn't remotely close to being maxed out.  Dude isn't going to grow 4 inches and gain 40 pounds but anyone that saw Jose Ramirez in the minors remembers what he used to look like..  He too was showing the ability to turn on balls even though it barely showed up.  Not saying he's got that same power potential, different bodies and the sort but Ramirez is a prime example of a guy who simply needed to finish filling out to become the player he ultimately ended up being.
Keep in mind that Rada is essentially the Latin player version of a coach's kid.  His Father played professionally -- so he's seen more coaching than the typical Latin American player likely has, even when you consider the Academies.   Not saying that to discredit him in any way -- it's not typical to see someone turn instruction into performance the way he has at his age.

O'Hoppe interview after the game was A+++, for 22 years old this guy is great.  He's calm, and is the real deal, defensively and offensively.  He also handles interviews better than anyone on this team.
