Taking good care of your people is always a good investment.  Setting you apart from your competition is a good investment.  

That reads as Baseball knowing how to get to many minor league affiliates.  A road map, if you will.

This would be a really great point if this was a question about the employment rate of minor leaguers.

Not like NSync. But, this team is in a position where making aggressive moves for a chance at the post-season is justified.  The team has a decent enough group of starting pitchers in Ohtani, Cobb, Sandoval, Suarez, and you get your occasional brilliance from Heaney.  I liked what I saw from Barria, after giving up 2 solo shots.  He went out to give us 6 innings of zeros after. 
 
The offense is 6th in the AL, largely without Trout and many key players spending time on the IL.  Trout returns soon and Rendon as well.  At full strength, this is a scary offense. 
 
What can’t be overstated is the non -effectiveness of the bullpen.  Essentially, Minasian must go directly to the Reliever section of the marketplace and grab us a couple of relievers.  With 2 more effective relievers to go with Raisel, I believe this team can get to the post-season

On December 12th, 2019, the Angels made what appeared to be a quiet move when they selected outfielder Edwin Yon with their 2nd round pick of the Triple-A portion of the Rule V Draft. Originally signed by the Cincinnati Reds on November 5, 2014 as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic, Yon, a right handed hitting OFer had spent several seasons in Rookie ball in the Reds system before showing some improvement during the 2019.
After losing a year due to Covid, Yon has been loudly putting up numbers for the IE66ers this year. The power that led to him being signed by the Reds has emerged and the bat is much improved. Yon has been one of the main bats powering the IE66ers offense this season.
Yon is one of the tallest players in the Angels system, if not the tallest. Now listed at 6' 8", Yon has filled out and is able to transition his power into game-play. AngelsWin.com recently caught up to talk with Yon to learn about his change to the Angels, how his season has been going, and how he made it through Covid.
66ers play by play broadcaster Steve Wendt tweeted this recently about Yon's poor start with the Low-A affiliate and ultimate turn around. 
Yon as of today (July 25th) is currently slashing .305/.383/.676, good for a stellar 1.060 OPS with 10 HR and 32 RBI.

The bad farm system can also be blamed for the bad bullpen in the recent years.
Who is the best reliver they have developed recently....Bedrosian?
Even though the starters look better I don't see anyone that can help the bullpen other than C-Rod if they choose to put him there.
Hopefully some of the pitchers they drafted this year can help out but I doubt they will be ready to contribute next year.
 

Anyone else remember that bomb that Adams hit to straight away CF in Spring Training that cleared the batters eye? I'd gotten reports of gained strength from instructs and the alt site but that one swing opened my eyes. 
Adams' path has been an interesting one. He was never supposed to be a first round pick, his baseball skills were far behind football, until his senior year, then it clicked. But even after being drafted, the expectation was that he was more raw than even raw prospects. Raw prospects have undeveloped skills. Adams, was basically seen as an athlete that may someday turn into a baseball player, maybe. Even the most bullish believed he was more of a 10-15 HR type. 
Instead, Adams showed an advanced feel for hitting early on, and is now developing more power than originally anticipated. It's too early, but Adams could develop into a 20/20 player with gold glove defense. Shoot he's so strong and great that might be underselling him. 
The shutdown may have actually been a blessing for him too. He would've been in Advanced A Ball last year and AA this year, except now that they're tinkering with his swing and approach to tap into more power, if he tried to do this in AA, it would've been a disaster. Having developed this strength, it's good that he figures it out at a lower level before having to make that leap to upper minors pitching.

The only thing this is about is competitive balance. Our competition is doing things to help develop their players that Arte won't do. Let's hope Minasian has the juice to change the losing culture Arte has created.

I agree; which is why I think they need to review their options in the off-season to see what Trout is doing and what might help. Is there more he can do to invest into his body? LeBron James spends over a million dollars a year on treatment and recovery for his body. Now he was injured this year on a freak play but for the most part; he's been healthy for the majority of his career. He also is a freak of nature so he has that in his favor. All I'm saying is it wouldn't hurt for Trout to step back and see if there's anything he can do better to preserve his body. 

If Ohtani does the HR Derby next year he should have Barria pitch to him.
