Highly suggest getting an MLB.TV account and watching the Rays or Braves.
All good guys, hard to hate them. And they play the way a professional baseball team should.
Unfortunately, if the shit show Angels is your norm, I'd move on for a couple years to actually enjoy watching baseball.
Yeah, just watch Dodgers play.

I know the plan will not fail. Because there is NO PLAN.

Doesn’t matter. The goal was to get a better draft position.
Halos can still do that, Let's Go Tigers

Why are the Angels moving all these guys up? Vera in particular has been a huge disappointment and I'm not sure why moving him to AA helps his development.
Domino affect, lose 5 from MLB club replace with 5 from AAA so 5 from AA replace 5 from AAA so on abd so on. This is result of poor farm system and Rendon getting hurt. Best thing to do is order a Domino's pizza.

I truly believe after Ohtani signs with another team Arte will put team up for sale. That will be his unfinished business this off season.

He's going to be 30 before next season starts. Has a .500 career record in Japan. Only 7.2 K/9 over the course of his career and only 6.5 this year.
So he fits right in with halos.

That's what Baltimore and Houston did to build up their roster with great young players. It hurt for a few years but eventually paid off.
Astros also invested in trash cans

I don't know what ya'll mean by "rebuild".
You can't trade Trout, Rendon, or Anderson.
So "rebuild" means you're keeping those guys and trading what we have of value, for even younger, less-proven players: Neto, O'Hoppe, Sandoval, Detmers, Schanuel.
WTF do you all think that does? Is it all about losing 100 games and getting very high draft picks for the next five years? Or what?
I think you rebuild around younger players. Stay away from high priced FA ( real good ones will not be coming here). Angel's have so many needs especially in BP. Years away from competing for playoffs.

Urias, Snell, Flaherty, Giolito, So it’s a pretty good pitching class.
Giolito? I would sign Lorenzen on short deal 2 years before Gio

The more players change the more the results remain the same. I am looking to 2024 to see Neto, O'Hoppe. Moniak, Schanuel, Adell, Rengifo and young pitchers develop. Hopefully with Trout DH with Rendon they can stay healthy for most of season. I hope Nevin stays I'm with Swordsman on this.

It's funny or maybe sad fans talking about Stassi and David Fletcher. Does it really matter? Lux tax over under who really cares at this point except Arte. This team is so far from having a winning season. Las Vegas A's not far behind halos now.

My concern with promoting Adams and letting him work out his defensive issues in the majors is that I don’t want any young pitchers getting hindered by that.
I want good defense behind Detmers, Silseth, Canning, Soriano, Marte, and whoever else they bring up.
Adams will be fine in OF. I worry about pushing these young players too soon to majors.

It's so sad thinking about players other teams DFA. What direction will this team take in off season? Very weak FA market (not that any would come here) and very little to trade from minors. I'm sure talk will be about Bellinger, Urias, Stroman signing here. Ask yourself if you were a FA would you want to sign with Angels. Eight years of losing and going into off season with Ohtani signing with Dodgers or Seattle. I hope 2024 halos see Neto, O'Hoppe, Schanuel, Moniak, Adell get plenty of playing time. Maybe they can form their own identity for themselves. This whole season has been focused on Ohtani and trying to make a run at playoffs. It has turned out to be a total disaster. Mianasian will not get GM of the year but I do give him credit for trying. I may be in minority, but I hope Nevin is back.

When the weather heats up so does Rengifo.

I think you have to give Jordyn Adams another shot and let him work through his defensive issues in the big leagues so that he gets confidence here in the show. The kid has been excellent defensively in the minors this year.
Adams has had his best season offensively this season and he's still only 23 years old, slashing .267/.348/.461 with 13 HR and 39 SB.
Yeah let the kids play nothing to lose.
-
Neto should be back soon. You look at possible call-ups and it is really sad. 2024 looks very bleak, hope they just go with kids next year. No signing any FA position players. Bullpen will need 7 or 8 new faces. Wonder if Arte decides to sell team and just not spend anything this off season. Tyler Anderson in rotation next year is scary. Hope Silseth can bounce back from being hit. Silseth did show some promise. With Ohtani gone halos will have 1 less pitcher on roster next year.

What is it now like 15 straight years under the lux tax so we keep that streak alive. This will be 8 th straight losing season so that streak is still alive. Rendon and Trout missing more games then played for 3 straight season that streak is alive.
