Angels in 2030 reacted to Erstad Grit in Yamamoto to the Dodgers
51 million just for the posting fee!

Angels in 2030 reacted to halomatt in Yamamoto to the Dodgers
Yep. Lots of jealousy on the board masquerading as "hate." I'm impressed and yes, I'm jealous that the Dodgers have such a great organization that they can call on seemingly endless amounts of minor league talent to supplement their roster for trades and yet still attract the best free agents to play for them. All because of their reputation as a top flight organization. Yes. I'm jealous. And I am very disappointed in Moreno for allowing the Angel franchise to become a "secondary market" in Southern California through his lack of organizational culture, vision, and direction.

Angels are completely buried in irrelevance.

Dodgers balling!
It's impressive if you ask me.
A few of you are very jealous..don't blame you.

I figured this was coming.
Next up, they'll sign Hader.
Then, they'll buy the biggest billboards they can find near Angels stadium and put Ohtani on them in his Dodger uniform.
If I were the Dodgers, that's what *I'd* do.

Angels in 2030 reacted to Angel Oracle in Yamamoto to the Dodgers
$1.075 billion to 2 players, including $50 million posting fee
If Ohtani can’t pitch effectively (2 surgeries) and Yamamoto pitches short of projections, it’s going to bite the Doyyers hard.

Angels in 2030 got a reaction from NYC Angel Fan in Bobby Valentine: Perry was set to trade Ohtani at deadline, Arte stopped him
I have no problem with him not wanting to match that offer. The Angels sinking another huge 10year deal to a 30-40yr old Ohtani would be a mistake for the on field success LT.
The problem is not seeing the obvious (he's leaving and we're not contending) and trading him in summer 2022, off-season 2022, summer 2023. Every opportunity to start a rebuild using the one true asset you have...and failure again from Arte. Just sell...please

Correct. I’m not even remotely interested in Chapman. The loss of a pick better because of a difference maker not another Tyler Anderson.

Wonder if @Blarg thinks the Rams still need a better head coach though

Angels in 2030 got a reaction from Vegas Halo Fan in Ben Verlander
The local Fox news a couple days ago was talking about various '___ of the year'. They then got to sporting teams and the guy immediately says "gotta be the Dodgers -- the Ohtani signing".
I seriously could not believe what i heard...even from idiot people read news. Team of the year for a team who lost yet again in the first round of the playoffs....but they spent a shet-ton of money to sign a soon-to-be 30 year old who is injured and can't pitch until 2025. SMH. Classic LA sports fan there in a nutshell.

The Arte factor is the one thing we as fans are completely effed on. It's why I stopped trying to piece together off-seasons because it seems to be 100% based on whatever his whims are.

1996 team had several young future cornerstone players and WS champs - GA, Erstad, Salmon, Perci, etc. Won 70 games and it resulted in Angels getting Troy Glaus from the draft. I’ll take that again.
