Bucket full of no thank you. Worst defensive 3B I've ever seen (that includes Trumbo), regression is coming, no plate discipline and numbers are juiced by playing 120 games a year in the hitter friendly parks of the AL East. 

2 is fine , we need a solid catcher, a real closer and maybe Tulo.

The knock on Ward was he didn't work well with the pitchers. It had less to do with defense as personality. 
Thaiss never once put on the gear since drafted. I'm not sure that wasn't a mistake since he is not exactly a power hitting DH/1st baseman.

Ward is good defensively, but offensively he struggled while also dealing with the rigors of catching. He also doesn't call a good game, which is something Sciosica (and now Ausmus) would've taught him.
Thaiss was never a catcher in the minors, so probably bad, yes.

Marsh and Suarez... Jones was in the top 100 earlier but dropped out, but he's on the cusp. I think it's because of his subpar season, but he made some changes and looked a lot better in the AFL.

Agreed. And if Calhoun tanks again, it would be nice to have an offensive option to Calhoun, instead of just a defensive replacement for Upton late in games (VERY necessary). Given how good a fielder Calhoun is, if he isnt hitting again, he could at least be a defensive replacement in left or center (to spell Trout, if needed). But that leaves us needing an offensive option.
I know, I know, Adell is the second coming of Trout to some. I doubt he will make much impact for the next 1.5 seasons of playing time, even IF he is as good as some think. 

@Angelsjunky, Barria is only 22 years old and over the past two years he's been incredibly successful. For his first major league season as a 21-22 year old he did just fine. 
Look what he did in 2017 across three levels before he reached the big leagues this past season.

Barria is still very young and still has time to hone his craft so while he might have a drop-off, imo it won't be a big drop-off. I want to see how Pena will do preparing himself to be a starter in Spring Training instead of a reliever.

We would have Cozart, Fletcher, Ward, and even Rengifo to back him up at 3B. That is pretty good depth so he makes sense to me as a buy-low, upside option. Just really depends on what the Angels saw during his workout and on the medicals.

Nothing wrong with a little competition for the younger guys. Sign him. Bring him to Spring Training. If he performs good enough to win the 2b or 3b job, send the youngsters to Triple A. If he stinks up the joint then release him.
