Relax everyone Duquette said today that the Orioles front office will be flying back to Baltimore and we shouldn't expect them to make any moves tonight, So we'll probably have to wait until sometime next week for those inevitable Machado to #Angels tweets.

Couldn’t Eppler and the Tigers have just consolidated their 48 trades into one mega deal to save time?

I guess I’m a nutswinger, bc I love the deal. And I’ve hated plenty of our deals. Eppler has been great about risk/reward and I thin this is another low risk/high reward move with no long term issues.

Man, tough crowd. Machado is 25 and has 28 career WAR, which includes a down season last year. Same as Arenado -- who is 26. 1.5 off of Altuve, who is 27.
He's good, very good, and still has upside to grow into.

Considering the opt-out clause is all the rage today, any Machado extension would likely have an opt-out after say his 3rd yr(which is when Trout's contract is up). Sign me up for adding Machado to Trout/Ohtani/Upton/Simmons core for the next 3 seasons

Yep like I posted earlier, start with Heaney and Skaggs. Both cheap and under control. Discuss Calhoun and Barria and you may have yourself one solid package. 
You need to give up quality to get quality. No way in hell Duquette takes Bridwell back in a trade for their superstar. Duquette would look like the ultimate moron bringing back Bridwell when he just gave him away for nothing last year. 
Machado is a top 10 position player in baseball. If we trade for him it won’t be with the intentions of having him for one year. Arte will spend for the right player and with all the extra venue from Ohtani, Machado could be that guy.

It’s abundantly clear that the Angels have their sights set on returning to prominence in the AL West sooner rather than later. While they can’t offer Marte time at shortstop with Andrelton Simmons in tow, adding Machado would give the Halos one of the best defensive shortstop/third base combos of this generation. The Angels have an improving but still-not-elite farm, but they have some arms on the big league roster that could at least intrigue the Orioles. Andrew Heaney is coming back from Tommy John surgery but has four years of remaining control. Tyler Skaggs has had his own injury issues but has three years of control.
 
The article has other teams in the mix with probably better offers but hopefully, Eppler at least tries.  I'd just like to point out that if Heaney/Skaggs and whatever else can get it done, the Angels would have essentially traded Kendrick and Trumbo for MM.

I'd do it. Sign Addison Reed and one more dude for the pen (anyone reasonable 1-2 years, $4-$6m/per) and take a gamble on Harvey.

I am for it depending on the length and cost obviously. Can never have enough starting pitching depth, being able to have pitching to trade from and also having enough quality guys that can eat innings will avoid putting too much strain on the bullpen which was a big problem down the stretch last season.

This depends entirely on the type of deal.

Suarez is my favorite fit of everyone out there, will probably cost the most to get as well though. He’s the kind of guy who could end up sliding over to 2B if need be with his history at shortstop.
