This makes me so happy.  We actually pulled the trigger and went to spring training this year instead of talking about how we 'need to' due to the questions surrounding Trout.  I told my 11 year old son that we need to go now because the best player in baseball may not be an Angel much longer.  When the news broke about him signing the extension my son was pumped.  "So, we can go watch him in spring training for the next 12 years!".  I told him I was on board with that, haha.  Then my 15 year old daughter, who is not a baseball fan said, "So, we didn't need to go this year?  Nice..."  

Got the notification for this in the morning, read it and fell back asleep thinking it was a dream. Finally got up to a phone full of messages/notifications confirming its real life and it was a surreal feeling. Mike is one of a kind and him signing this extension makes you love him and appreciate that much more. It was a great day to be an Angels fan today and this off season is a win no matter what. Next extend Simmons and the core we have going for ward is very bright and promising. Mike Trout forever.

Really dont care for the modern white and reds. The throwbacks always look amazing (^ these in particular). The 90s era is clean. I also especially like this one:

I know a number of longer term users on this board knew my dad (who went by Pablo on here). This morning, he was going for his daily bike  ride, and he was hit by a car at Seal Beach and PCH. My understanding is that he died on site, and there was no pain. Due to the nature of the incident, they are doing a full autopsy, so I won't know the details until a couple weeks from now.
I just wanted to thank everyone here. The Angels were always a thing we bonded over, and he introduced me to this place a few years ago. This has been the starting point of countless conversations between us over the years.

This is a huuuuuuge narrative that is getting really tiresome.
It's like Mike Trout just sits at home and looks at Twitter and decides how he feels about the Angels future based on the opinions of casual fans who mostly just go by name recognition and have no idea what it takes to win baseball games.
Yes, Mike Trout wants to win. But he also has an understanding of what it takes to win, and why the Angels haven't won. Do you think he looks at Tyler Skaggs the way casual fans do? I'm sure he can also talk to Billy Eppler any time he wants, 24/7, to get the plan. And I'm sure Eppler tells him exactly what the plan is. I also think there is no team that can guarantee Trout anything in terms of winning, so happiness with his work environment is going to be a big deal. I have trouble imagining him being happy playing for the Yankees or Red Sox.
Also, the Angels are going to offer him a crap-ton of money.

This, I don't think it takes an expert to see that EYJ gives you a better AB and plays the field wayyy better than Blash/C.Young. It seemed like a struggle to make a routine play for them. He's a very capable 4th OF and I don't see why the team wasted so much time on others.
