I don't even know how a human arm can handle this...

Lugo is supposed to be the best one right? I think ranked as high as 8 by BA and ranked like 34 by MLB. They gave him 2.3 million to sign. What’s the best international signing the Angels have done in the last 10 years? Like Suarez or Barria? Maybe Quero would have been?
The one and only Roberto Baldoquin

I’m paying more attention to how he’s trending. Not well lately. Something wrong with his confidence. Great closers don’t allow so many free passes and 0-2 count home runs to irrelevant hitters.
Fair enough

Rengifo hitting leadoff is one of the biggest issues I saw in the Two games I went to in Toronto. He is Willy Mays Hayes from Major League 2....trying to be a power hitter when he should've just put the ball in play. Lots of long fly ball outs when the batters in the 7-9 position were on. He also came up a lot with 2 outs it seemed like, and again, I was watching the game, not keeping score, so I may be wrong.
He's been hitting well in July, and hits well as a leadoff guy, only because it is where he's been this month and hitting in front of Ohtani helps.
But I'd still rather he hit 9th and Neto leadoff.
I mean, he went 4 for 12, with 3 BBs and 2 doubles. Kinda hard to ask much more from a lead-off hitter.

Lineup? Assuming Neto is healthy enough to go tonight.
SS Neto
DH Ohtani
CF Moniak
1B Cron
3B Moustakas
RF Renfroe
C Thaiss
LF Grichuk
2B Rengifo
Tbh I wouldn't mind keeping Rengifo at the leadoff spot since he seems to be doing well there so far and Neto was thriving in the 9-hole.

Too many bad hitters in the lineup at this point. This is a constant issue for this team over the years. It's hard to string together hits when you have guys who cant hit scattered through the lineup.
To be fair, that's kind of difficult when 7 of your 9 opening starters are injured...

But why is the game restricted in the first place? I was able to watch the first game without any issues.

I'm not a big fan of the trade and it sucks losing Quero but I think we can't underestimate the acquisition of Lopez alongside Giolito. I think the cost of acquiring a SP and a RP separately would have been higher.

Maybe Jo winds up translating AAA to MLB and is better than Trout? So dawns the age of Adell and Moniak?
Mike Trout has 1.086 ops over his last 15 games. Do you really think Adell can match that?

Moniak might have earned a starting spot

I feel like Canning has suffered from bad luck/defense in each of his start. He looks much better than his ERA

the bullpen can't possibly blow this right?
We might not see the bullpen tonight

Not sure I can do this all year lol

Was just DFA'd by the Brewers. I really hope the Angels take a shot at him.

It would be weird to make 2 separate deals with the same team on the same day. I wonder if that's ever happened

I think Marsh could use a short trip to AAA to regain some confidence.

The defense in the first inning was lousy. He basically recorded 5 outs. But he's walking too many batters.
