For everyone saying we gave up too much, will you be saying the same if we land some other big names this offseason and fill most of our holes? How about if we go deep into the playoffs? It's a risky move but I'll take it over a stoneman type move anyday.

We still have Weaver, Wilson, Shoe, Santiago, Richards, Heaney, Tropeano, Skaggs, Nate Smith.
 
Yes, a bunch of these names scare me, but here's 9 guys that could compete at the Major League level. It's not like we are going to be struggling to put a 5 man rotation out there. Yes we hurt our future a bit (possibly) but this tells me Eppler is aggressive and this team might go all in an open the checkbook. I'm sure there are also going to be a few young guys in the minors that take steps forward this year as well. I'm optimistic.

Eppler got his Jeter in his first move! Now to find our A-Rod.

I also think Zobrist is going to go for way more than what he's worth. I can see his production dropping soon and it wasn't that great to start with.

This thread really depresses me regarding the current state of the halos.

Umm isn't this just how sports work? And even life in general?

The most aggravating part is WHY the Angels suddenly have urgency when their back is up against the wall. 
 
Why couldn't they have done this months earlier, just once or twice, so the season isn't being decided by game 162 (or 163)?  Again, this falls on this coaching staff for not getting the team fired up much sooner...

You have never seen a team fire a manager and play better? It happens all the time. Morale plays a huge part in winning and playing well. 

At this point I'd take our current lineup as long as we can gut all the managers and coaches. Not that it's even all their fault. We just need a drastic change and it's easier to do it with coaches/managers than players.

Chris Davis seems like the Arte choice (and most likely on this list to take a downturn fast and soon)
