Angels pitching is terrible

Seems like too many games now that the Angels pitching has given up a huge amount of runs.  So going back and looking, in the Angels last 11 losses, 8 of those losses they gave up 7 or more runs.  

 

I guess when they lose, they make sure they really lose.

In the order of things that are bad on this team that I want to complain about, pitching falls somewhere between "there aren't enough black guys" and stadium food quality. Heaney and Richards are good. Newcombe will be. Ellis and Skaggs should be decent middle of the rotation guys, and we have a bunch of 5th starters.

It's appropo for a franchise that has very few aspects of it to look forward to these next few years, and not even Trout can totally be relied on at this point after a putrid six weeks of offense plus can't steal bases anymore.

Can we even be confident of Newcomb making it? This franchise has a poor track record for development, and REFUSES to fix that by trying everything possible to get the best coaches into this farm system.

acquiring bullpen help is among the easier things to do at the trade deadline yet we did nothing with a clear need.  

 

It's amazing how the offense turned to crap when they lost David Freese and the pitching went to hell when they lost CJ Wilson.  Both seem like coincidence, but the team has literally fallen apart.  

 

the collection of disappointing performances on this team is pretty impressive.  Maybe Cron and Heaney are in the unexpected production on the good side.
