Sadly, there style of the game is t working. 3 runs a game isn't going to cut it too often. Solo homeruns, bad base running from slow runners and lack of situational hitting with RISP isn't going to cut it.

After 142 games it is pretty apparent what this team is. OK starting pitching, a mediocre bullpen, lack of speed, lack of clutch hitting, iffy management. Twenty more games to play out the string. I forgot also a horrible road team.

That's what he's supposed to say in this situation, put on the brave face for the people who buy the tickets. Who knows if that's what he's saying to the players (if anything at all). They have the worst road record in the AL and are pretty good at home.

 

 

I still don't ****ing understand why they continue to start weaver during road games. He's still effective at home, but useless on the road.
