I'm calling it now. Someone (probably one of our rivals) signs Joyce and he becomes the comeback player of the year. 

Simmons will turn out to be a good deal I have a feeling. We gave up our #1 prospect, an aging guy on his last year, and a question mark. We (angels fan) highly overvalue our prospects. Yes, he was our #1 prospect but where would he rank on other teams? I just don't see either of the 2 prospects turning into stars or even top of the rotation starters. Simmons is already a defensive star and I think his bat will improve.

I was listening to the radio this morning, AM 570 (yes I know it's dodger radio) but they said very clearly a number of times, Arte Moreno has said explicitly numerous times that he will not go over the luxury tax. He absolutely will not. How do these guys have jobs?

For everyone saying we gave up too much, will you be saying the same if we land some other big names this offseason and fill most of our holes? How about if we go deep into the playoffs? It's a risky move but I'll take it over a stoneman type move anyday.

I just read some thoughts on the Braves board and it's funny that both sides are outraged that they got the bad end of the deal. Early on in the thread many Braves fan said how'd they be pissed if they "only" got DeGrom or Harvey for Simmons...
