The problem with this line of thinking is no hard stance has been taken like it should have and that's how we've gotten to where we are today.  Cities and states are strapped for cash and in some cases can't afford to pay for essential services.  That's not all on any one group and it's mismanagement as much as anything but states hit hardest by illegal immigration see a disproportionate amount of their budget go towards the expenses associated with illegal immigrants and their children.  If I break the law I expect their to be consequences and that should apply to everyone.

I think it's impossible for any western country because a lot of the fighting stems from religion and fighting that goes back centuries.  I'd like to see the US stay out of it but the catch 22 is that if you do you've got innocent people getting killed, tortured and abused by dictators in situations that could eventually turn into a major war.  The kicker is now after decades of intervention some or most of those dictators were put into power by the US.  

Why would the Lakers trade anything for Paul George?  If George wants out of Indy he can come as a FA in 2018.  If the Lakers keep their pick I'm fine with any of the top 3 players.

These are the type of choices that need to be made to start to fix some of the problems facing the country which stem from the inability of our leaders to actually lead, enforce the laws and act in the best interest of both the short and long term.  Illegal immigration is a problem and you either fight it as best you can or you do it half assed or not at all like they have for the last ~30 years which got us to a point where there's an estimated 12M+ illegal immigrants in the country.  If the country can't make these "tough" choices we won't have enough safe spaces when we're past the point of kicking the social security and medicare can down the road.

California is one of the most tax/toll/fee heavy states when it comes to taxing drivers while also having some of the worst roads that are estimated to cost drivers the most in the nation as far as damage caused to cars.  Like education this is one problem that just throwing money at won't fix because the money already going towards it is getting misused. Some of the ~25B that goes towards expenses associated with illegal immigrants and their children sure would go a long way towards fixing the infrastructure. 

If it wasn't the Raiders I'd say yes especially if it was a night game so I could watch the day games at a sports book before.  My concern is that the fans who do follow them there will be the same as some of their current fans who had me not wearing Bronco gear when I went two years in a row when they played in Oakland.  I'd rather enjoy the game instead of having insults, trash and possibly worse thrown my way.    
As to the second question it all depends on how they do.  Most new teams experience some success early on as far as attendance goes but once the novelty wears off it's all about winning and the product they put on the field.  

The Republicans blew it because Obamacare despite it's many faults gave insurance to people who didn't previously have it because of cost or preexisting conditions.  Any time you "give" something to voters if you're going to take it away you better have an alternative or be ready for the fall out.  This is what years of chest thumping but no viable replacement by the R's gets us.  It's like the tough guy who gets in people's faces and when someone stands up to him he isn't actually ready to get punched in the face because it was all bravado.

I'll be in Maui in May.  We went to the 'private' beach they have at the Andaz or Four Season and I wish I could have gotten a bodyboard and some fins but since I wasn't staying at the hotel that wasn't happening.  Tried Leoda's the first time we went to Maui and it was good but didn't go last time.  Went to Mama's last trip for the first time and it's one of the best meals I've ever had so we'll definitely be going back.  I'd definitely do Kauai again and maybe Oahu but staying away from Waikiki.  Haven't done the big island yet but will some day.
