  1. Agreed. Philly has put up points and yards but come the playoffs I don't expect Sanchez to get it done when it matters.
  2. Dallas' record is somewhat deceiving. Of their 8 wins to date only 1 came against a team .500 or better and 6 of those wins came against below average defenses. Their defense is better than last year (had to be) but I don't see it helping them keep up with some of the top NFC teams.
  3. Sounds cool but I'm with Brandon. I browse the web, check sports scores, post on message boards and occasionally use netflix ($7.99 version, no interest in 3D movies) with no issues for less than half of what Google is going to charge. I'm guessing I'm not their target demographic though which is tech geeks with a wired house, families with multiple people streaming and using devices, hardcore gamers or the type of person who has to have the newest everything whether it's an iphone or the fastest internet.

  5. Been using Google which got me to the safe mode stuff and trying to reboot the video settings. Not sure if the lack of updates had anything to do with it but I couldnt tell you the last time I did an update. I'll check YouTube later for walk throughs, thanks.
  6. He said multiple times things weren't fair but if you stopped doing illegal things, stopped blaming others and so on things could change. Even said it isn't fair blacks get longer sentences but you're at fault for committing the crime in the first place. Basically don't give cops a reason to harass you and other races a reason to expect the worst out of you. It wasn't perfect but a lot of what he said could apply to anyone with a victim mentality
  7. I get a chuckle out of reading how one of the previous movies was more ridiculous than any of the others. The wtf moment in the second movie was Goldblum's daughter as it was just unexpected and seemed like a pc move. I'll probably catch this in theaters for the simple fact that I remember seeing the first one in theaters as a kid and how much fun it was
  8. So this isn't quite game related but I'll put it here to see if anyone has any suggestions. I decided instead of buying Dragon Age Inquisition for PS3 I would see about turning in my P3 along with my 10 games (older) towards a PS4. So I tried to reset my PS3 to delete everything on it and that backfired because I rarely ever turn it on and I'm not even sure what my most recent update on it was. Long story short I tried rebuilding via safe mode and it never got past the initial step. Trying anything else in safe mode requires a new update which I downloaded, put on a thumb drive in the right folder destination (PS3-UPDATE) then tried running the update. After that I turned on the PS3 but it's not registering on the TV (HDMI) and it says no signal. I read some instructions about trying to reset the video mode which I'll try later along with maybe seeing if I have the AV cables to use instead. All I want to do is get the damn thing working and deleted of all of my information so I can turn it in. Any suggestions are appreciated.
  9. Calling them out isn't going to make thugs and rioters re-think their life choices or cause them to go home. People like that are the lowest of the low and respectable individuals who happen to have the same skin color probably just want to separate themselves from those people as much as possible. There are respectable people out there who have spoken up but that type of news doesn't sell as much.
  10. The Denver defense was atrocious. The sequence where McManus missed a 33 yard FG, Denver gets an INT only to have a penalty overturn it, Miami punts and the returner fumbles it which led to a Miami TD summed up most of the game. At one point Manning overthrew Sanders on 3 plays in one series all of which would have been TD's. The O-line looked good but that was at home and next weeks game in KC doesn't have me feeling too confident. Still trying to figure out what the call in the SD game was on that punt return at the end.
  11. Forsett - NO has given up a lot of rushing TDs and Baltimore will run to eat up clock and keep Brees off the field. Hilton - Jacksonville is just bad and I could see Hilton having a long TD. Only downside here is Indy going up early and running a lot in the second half. That said they've shown even when they're up they take shots down the field rather than just playing it safe. I'm a Denver fan and Sanders owner but they're going against a tough D, their O-line has struggled and Sanders is coming back after getting rocked last week.
  12. I had no idea this was out or even close to coming out. Looks like it's on PS3 so I can buy it without having to wait until I get a PS4.
  13. His numbers are mediocre but he's not far off his per game average from last year when he set a career high for passing yards in a season. His TD's are down but his completion percentage is up as is his QB rating. You're getting what you expect from him - a game manager who isn't going to make big throws but he also isn't going to make a lot of mistakes. Playing for a team that can run the ball and play defense makes his shortcomings less of a factor.
  14. I was dropping enough f-bombs while those guys were celebrating that I might be an honorary raider fan. I guess when you haven't won in over a year you forget how to act in a situation like that.
  15. I'm waiting for the raiders to do something raider like and screw this up.

  17. That blueprint is the same as it's always been - pressure Manning so he makes mistakes and run the ball effectively to keep his offense off the field. I don't remember how they worded it but on one of the NFL shows they said the Denver O-line was top 5 last year at keeping pressure off Manning wheras they were ranked 12th before today and that ranking likely got worse. Miami is very good at getting to opposing QB's so next Sunday will be a great test to see if the Denver O-line can make improvements.
  18. Didn't have the greatest view of the Broncos/Rams game as it was on one of the smaller TV's at the bar but from what I could see Denver looked bad. The hit on Sanders looked like it happened before the ball got there but an update I read had at least one analyst thinking it was a legit hit but either way Sanders got rocked. I give credit to the Rams defense and Denver is going to be in a world of hurt if Sanders and J. Thomas miss significant time. Regardless their defense which was a strong point early in the season looked pretty bad. The AFC West just got a lot more interesting especially if San Diego beats Oakland today like they should.

  20. Not really sure why they didn't try to run the ball more considering they've been pretty successful at it this season and they were going against one of the worst run defenses in the league. Not only did they not run the ball much but they only did 2-3 dump offs passes to the RB's one of which came back due to a holding penalty. That was one of the worst offensive displays I've seen especially from a team that by all accounts should have been able to move the ball.
  21. Taking 37 shots is a result of not trusting teammates. I'm guessing most Laker games this season offensively will look like they did the post Shaq and pre-Pau eras which will involve Kobe jacking up too many shots while a lot of times the other 4 guys on the court kind of stand around.

  23. Can someone cliffs note it for me - did the dems keep enough seats so that we get the same old shit or did reps get enough seats so that we get the same old shit?
  24. Agreed about NE and home field advantage come the playoffs will be huge. Denver is 0-2 in NE the last 2 years and if they ended up there in the playoffs I definitely wouldn't bet on them coming away with a W. That said we're half way through the season and a lot can happen between now and the playoffs. NE was in the drivers seat last year for home field when they lost a game they should have won which gave Denver home field. Pitt has been fun to watch the last few games but I trust them less than I do NE or Denver. Both Pitt and Denver have favorable rest of season schedules based on opponent win percentages but you never know when it comes to division games or teams that match up well. Denver has games remaining at KC, SD and Cincy and all of those should be tough games.
  25. Still really curious about the Denver FO reasoning for cutting Prater. With the wind at their backs McManus misses one just over 40 yards and they opt to go for it on 4th down on what would have been a 51/52 yarder only to give up the sack. So far the Manning TO and their special teams play are the main reasons they're down.
