  1. Talk about going all in. Beefing up the O-line, adding another legit WR and addressing the D with smaller pick ups and the draft.
  2. Considering the amount of guaranteed money I disagree and think it's worth it to Seattle. With a guy like Harvin it's not just what he brings to the table in terms of numbers but it's what having him on the field does to opposing defenses. Not going to disagree about his attitude and injury concerns but Seattle was one of the better NFC teams last year and if their 2nd year QB doesn't regress much they're in the discussion for top team in the NFC. Harvin is only 24 so taking age and skillset into account he's a better option than guys like Welker or Amendola who are FA's.
  3. Not to hijack the thread but Moreno should never be counted on. Every time that guy starts to get it going and make you think he wasn't a horrible pick he gets hurt. McGahee was awesome when he was healthy but he isn't getting any younger and Hillman is a change of pace back who is too small to be a primary back. I'd love to see them get S. Jackson but I'm not counting on it.
  4. I realize why they're trading him but I still feel bad for ADP and the rest of the Vikings who bust their asses only to see a player like Harvin get shipped out. Supposedly they're interested in Mike Wallace though.
  5. Agreed but Cage takes flack for the fact that he seemingly takes every role he can which I'm guessing is due to his money situation. I have to vote for Shia LaBeouf who I blame Hollywood for more than his acting as for a while he seemed like one of the "it" actors who got way too many parts.
  6. Saving Private Ryan is my favorite. I remember when it came out the criticism was that the battle scenes were too real. Another one that I like that definitely isn't in the same tier that wasn't meantioned is Hamburger Hill. Them losing so many men going up the hill only to turn around and abandon it kind of summed up Vietnam.
  7. Time to add another item to the list of accomplishments: "Highest projected federal revenue of any president"
  8. Regardless if they drafted that OL or not this draft was already open. There's no franchise QB worth a top 10 pick, the DT from Utah has a heart condition that kept him from working out at the combine and with the rookie salary cap teams at the top aren't shitting bricks about paying some unproven player 50M+ over the life of his rookie contract. There's a lot of depth but there might not even be a QB/WR/RB drafted until the second half of the first round.
  9. Huntington Beach. Raised here and bought a place last year so won't be going anywhere else any time soon.
  10. They weren't cornered into making him the highest paid QB in NFL history. No way is he worth that but not my team so good job Ravens.
  11. I think someone will over reach for him and take him rd 1. The imaginary GF and combine aside the title game showed that he was vastly overrated. That's not to say he can't improve but being hyped as one of the top players in college football he was exposed as being slow and weak against real competition which is what he'll face in the NFL day in and day out.
  12. They lost 3 big names more than they lost 3 big players. Even when Turner was racking up yards in previous years he always crapped out at the end of the year and after not getting a lot of carries early in his career in SD he averaged 294 touches the last 5 years. Abraham is 34 and at a point where he would be more valuable as mentor to younger guys so when it comes down to money you can let him go. As mentioned Robinson probably hurts the most but they still have Samuel on one side so their secondary shouldn't fall to pieces.
  13. I'm sure at some point it will end up being means tested and people who didn't live high on the hog or even make much will end up not getting much out of it because they were responsible and saved. Whatever they do I hope it doesn't involve raising the contribution rate or removing the income limit. For now I'd rather see them start to move back the retirement age with people living longer which would impact younger generations (mine) more because no one is going to take on the boomers or other older generations and try to "take" money away from them.
  14. The Chiefs obviously have a lot of needs but all in all they're moving in the right direction. They've got the #1 overall pick and will most likely take one of the OL to further protect Smith unless they trade back where they could still get one of the top OL. He's got Jamal Charles in the backfield so the next big need is a receiving weapon as I believe Bowe is a FA.
