  2. On the plus side think of all the 6 figure jobs that come with pensions this creates. Kudos to the voters for giving a blank check to the state government that's only made the issue worse.
  3. I wouldn't say they lost Ekeler as he was an easy cap cut after he couldn't stay on the field last season and he'll be 29 in a few months which is old for an NFL RB. They may not be able to replace prime Ekeler production but RB's are now a position a lot of teams look to fill in the draft or with a younger back on the roster especially when they don't have much cap money.
  4. He didn't leave Denver he was cut. Had they not done so before the start of this league season his $37M salary for 2025 would have been guaranteed. Definitely going down as one of the worst trades of all time especially after seeing the dead cap hit they took on to cut him. I was a fan of them trading for him but didn't see the need to extend him right away since he was still under contract. Not sure how the GM still has his job between the Wilson move and some others in recent years. I expect Denver to be the AFC West cellar dweller for a few years at least.
  5. As a Broncos fan I won’t miss him because he tore them up. Damn good WR just felt like he was regularly getting the questionable tag but still managed to play. Definitely a cap casualty for the chargers but it’s the right move given his age. I’d have to think they’re looking at a WR or Bowers in rd 1 next month as they should have their pick of anyone besides Harrison at 5. That said they’re in a prime spot to move back and add some picks if there’s a QB run as most mocks are predicting. I like this move for the bears adding a veteran WR to pair with Moore and Kmet presumably for Caleb Williams. Then they still have the 9th pick which every mock to date had them taking a WR. Could move back and add more picks still coming away with another player in the first round that fills a need.

  7. Yeah that’s why I posted the link to the article in the “Chilean Burg Crews” thread that he started.

  9. Brings back memories as I ended up there on my 21st birthday.

  11. The one that used to be off Beach/Adams in HB pulled off the impossible lasting in a location that changed businesses every year or two while nothing has gone in since. Around the time the original owner sold it went to shit and they eventually moved further up Beach closer to the 405. Never bothered checking out the new location which closed not too long ago.
  12. There used to be a Kaplan’s Deli right off the 405 on harbor I remember going to with my grandfather who passed away over 20 years ago. There’s now an in n out in that same spot which makes sense because they have a knack for putting their stores in some of the worst spots traffic wise.
  13. There’s been arguably three better in the last decade one of which most would agree is one of if not the greatest ever when NE beat Seattle. Tonight the first 3 quarters were pretty boring but the 4th and OT made up for it. As a Broncos fan I didn’t want KC to win but I give them props for gutting it out and getting the job done. They did what San Fran couldn’t in OT getting into the end zone. A few months back I don’t think any outside of their own fans thought they’d make it to the Super Bowl let alone win it.
  14. Gotta love politics. First day in office Biden made it a point to undo what Trump had going at the border, situation gets worse for 3 years, new election cycle rolls around and now it's worth dealing with. Make a situation worse, let it fester for years, demand a solution be tied to something else you want (Ukraine, Israel funding) and when it's settled promote it as a win. 'Merica!
  15. Thanks Bills another week of hearing about Taylor Swift anytime the playoffs are brought up.
  16. Death, taxes and the Cowboys proving they weren’t for real.
  17. The Bills won their last 5 games including wins over Dallas and KC to not just make the playoffs but win the AFC East and take the 2 seed. As of week 12 if anyone bet on them pulling that off they got paid. Allen is prone to making bad choices but he’s also one of about 5 QBs most would agree they’d want with the game on the line. Buffalo’s offense goes stagnant at times but they also have the ability to put up points about as quickly as any other team. They’re peaking at the right time and rightfully the third favorite heading into the playoffs.
  18. There were definitely posters who didn't think the Angels would make a run and/or who thought Ohtani was gone via FA so they should have traded him. I agreed with both of those camps but when they decided to make moves I said then and still now don't blame them for not waiving the white flag.
