While true we also played 3 playoff teams while the astros and chisox padded thier differential against the Ms and As. 
The Chisox left Ana -2.  We put a -1 on the Astros in the 2 games, the rest is all Oak/Sea.
Im more encouraged by where we are than where they are. 
Our opening month-ish is actually a bit brutal with almost all potential playoff teams with the exception of  3 with KC and 2 with TX between now and the 25th.  Lets hope the team can keep up this pace till they get to the softer ones... then again we somehow always manage to play down to a lot of those teams so maybe not 🙂.

Im going to keep my view on this and what MLB should or should not have done to myself and save it for other forums as ive learned the audience her over the years and pissing in the wind is pointless... BUT what i will say is that the problem isnt having or not having conversations, its willingness to listen to the opposition and leaving the self righteous silliness at home. 
Conversations these days always seem to end in one side or the other making baseless accusations of horrible labels as soon as it gets difficult and devolved into mental masturbation.

Nah, i think Strads reply was pretty much right on, the 40 man problem likely negates that as a realistic option.  For whatever reason i thought he was on it, but him not being on it makes it moot i would think.
Plus I wouldnt take the job away from Walsh over ST, BUT, Rojas certainly outplayed him this spring so the idea isnt that far fetched if he had been. 

The mental aspect of it, the games played between pitcher and batter, runner on base, the defensive dynamics... a great throw from RF to 3B, catcher keeping runners honest, stretching hits, great baserunning, diving catches, SS in the hole, 2B up the middle, 3B bare handing a roller... and the list goes on.
As  im writing this i realize much of this really doesnt exist so much anymore which may explain my waning interest over the last few years.  I follow the angels, not so much baseball itself anymore.  The game has dulled itself down since the moneyball evolution.  Weve become much like the NFL where out of 60 minutes less than 10 is actually play, the rest is huddles and such by turning the game into walks, OBP, devaluing hitting, and taking pitches.. and all that before the near death of the running game.
I like what weve been doing this ST, i like the Maddon approach so far, lets see if hes allowed to keep it going during the season.
