Watched Hamilton the other night. Freaking fantastic IMO. Crazy good performances throughout. Super impressed by the performers bringing it that hard for that long. Btw, the guy that played George III is the dude from Mindhunter.

Blame whoever the fuck you want, the protestors, the anti maskers, bar hoppers, backyard barbecuers. No mater who it is, the fact is because people couldn't take proper precautions, the exact thing we were told would happen is happening. People are up in arms because they had their fireworks taken away and they can't eat jalapeño poppers while drinking crap beer at a crowded bar.
Meanwhile, I lost all of my teaching gigs this Summer, might not have some in the Fall, and the theater I run hasn't had a show or taught a class since March 12. With the very real possibility that live theater won't come back until 2021 (or a vaccine)   it is almost certain that we will have to shut our doors for good. That being said, the Landlord will still want their rent. Seeing as I am the Artistic Director, President of the Board, and on the lease, it will probably come out of my pocket, so I will lose out on money twice. Once when we don't produce shows and then again when I have to pay out the lease. Hopefully we will be able to find a lawyer to help us fight it, But either way, I am fucked because of a global pandemic and a bunch of dickweeds that can't social  distance.
Even with all of that, even while waking up every morning borderline depressed, I still count my blessings because my family is relatively safe and healthy and there are millions of people who aren't lucky enough to be able to say that.

If you know they play a role and you accept that you should wear them indoors.  Which is apparently a good growth for you from a few weeks ago.....why do you continuously insist on arguing against them here.  Literally no is saying that masks are the only piece of the puzzle. They are important.  So cut the bullshit.  We get it they fucked up with Covid patients in a rest home.  A terrible tragedy.  Stop making a mockery of it for your horseshit strawmanning.

Honestly, if a single payer healthcare system is what comes out of all of this, I’d be quite good with it.

and maybe of more interest to Angels fans....    Bill Stoneman and Eddie Bane
A bunch of hitters did it too -- Winfield and Olerud and Bob Horner come to mind.  More pitchers too.
Ole Stoney sure did a lot of things in baseball...   Two no-nos, a WS as a GM...
Maybe one of the most unheralded dudes in MLB history given all the notable stuff.

The rules regarding the "clock" may change with the next CBA anyway.  This would seem to be the perfect time (expanded rosters) to see how he handles being in The Show.  Give him a taste of a 60 game playoff series.

Fun story. Albert actually slapped my ass on a plane once. Not in a bad way. It was all good. Was boarding a flight from Phoenix back to KC in 2016 after catching a couple ST games. I was wearing an Angels hat, and the gate agent told me that Pujols was on the flight. As I walked through first class back to coach I spotted him, and pointed up to my hat. He saw it and gave a “what’s up” head nod. I didn’t want to make a big deal of it, so as I walked past I just leaned in a bit and said “Hey man, just wishing you all the best this season.” He responded with a “Thanks man” and slapped my ass as I continued on to my seat. I thought it was freaking hilarious.

Some of us grew up in poverty on the mean streets of Riverside. We didn't have that first class money you guys are born with in other parts of the IE.

This. Again and again this. Pro athletes make what they do because the people paying them can pay them that much and still make considerable profits. And owners can’t just go find people off the street that can perform at that level for $50k/year. It’s really freaking simple supply and demand, and players demanding anything less than what they’re worth wouldn’t make them champions for the common man. It would make them active contributors to an inefficient economic system that only served to extend the economic power of billionaires.

It took all of about five minutes for me to install mine. That said, go ahead and tell the wife it’s an all day thing and just hide in the bathroom drinking beer and listening to music.
