I first read this book with my third grade teacher who was a 60-ish year old black woman from Louisiana. One of my favorite teachers ever as a kid. That woman legit gave a shit and loved the hell out of her kids. She used the words. She also explained her youth in Louisiana to us and what those words meant in her experience. No BS about it. She explained they were words of hate, but it was part of how people talked at the time, and we were not to say that ever now. Fascinating woman really. 

It’s not like Idaho levels where everyone is retiring in Boise, Meridian, or Eagle but there is a growing population and pretty diverse. It does kind of remind me of an east coast Idaho the more I think about it with how its exploded. Kind of a combo of cost of living, growth, expansion, opportunities, etc.
I liken the explosion to when their bbq got in the map and was at leas tin the conversation with KC, Texas, and Memphis.

My dad taught me how to drive on a stick shift truck. I still prefer driving a stick honestly. Dude made me keep the truck at a standstill on a steep hill for five minutes balancing the clutch and the gas with no brake before he’d let me take the driving test for my license. Sounds a bit harsh, but it was a good thing in the end. I still do that at most lights if I’m driving a stick. Sucks that manual transmissions are hard to find these days.

It's not hard. Just find a car as old as you are. 

Have done loans there for many years. Love the people and Charlotte area. I think it’s one of the fastest growing areas. A lot of military because of the bases. Property taxes are great compared to the rest of the country. Nice people and nice areas.

I had gotten a quote from Rocket Mortgage just before talking with Brandon.  Brandon got me a better rate at a much lower cost, saving me thousands of dollars.  And the mortgage is still with Rocket!
I have refinanced several times in the past 20 years and this was the quickest and easiest process I have experienced.  Everything on-line or over the phone.  The only in person event was the notarized signatures at the end.

I think the billions of dollars part (it’s trillions) is the point. This shit is a money grab and has been almost from the very beginning. If they can get people riled up to do it all over again through whatever means I’m sure the powers that be would love to do it all over again. I’d like to think the people of America wouldn’t fall for it again, and maybe we won’t next time; but we usually do.

No doubt this shit is just an industry at this point meant to make rich people richer. Honestly, twenty years from now that should be the summation of this war. Ungodly amounts of lives and money were spent so we could make munitions, equipment, and machinery for absolutely fucking nothing.

Yeah, dude has always been a bit of a prick. My uncle was his JV coach. The last time I remember being around him in real life was during one of my cousin’s high school games in like ‘97 (maybe ‘96? I just remember it was a scene). His brother was my cousin’s catcher. Dude made an ass of himself screaming at both of them from the stands. Just ridiculous over the top shit too. His brother, Brian, was a super good dude though. Played at LBSU, then in the Twins system for a bit if I recall right.

I'm pretty sure we're clearing out of Afghanistan to make way for our next adventure in bringing freedom to an oppressed people. Destination not yet clear but as you look around the world there's plenty of candidates

People shouldn't hate other people. When it comes to Harris I don't see what anyone likes about her, politically. Is it personality? Has she actually done anything that is good? Her record of locking people up doesn't really fit the current Democrat agenda. To me she seems like a partisan hack that will just go with whatever way the wind blows.

There probably wasn’t a perfect way to do it, but starting the evacuations like a month ago seems like it would’ve been a good idea.
