    This has been true over the years of any organization. Fire the manager after a poor season. It doesn't make sense, but then again it does because something changed. I really doubt that Ausmus gets another managing gig. Of course I thought that about Collins and the Mets hired him.

    Could be that he lost the clubhouse at a certain point. It happened when Terry Collins was the manager.

    I think personally I compared him too much to Scioscia, which would be unfair in itself because Mike was a decent manager from the start. He did seem to be outmanaged by the opponents at times. I also question his use of Suarez, Barria, and Sandoval. I just hope they're not ruined for the future.

    I've always been a Joe Maddon fan. I thought the should have hired him instead of Scioscia. But that's the past. We have a manager. There is a lot that I don't like about Ausmus, but this season would have sucked no matter who the manager was.

    Its basically a week until September and the Angels can call up whatever warm bodies to get through the season. I see alot of bullpen games. Hopefully some cream will rise from the sh!t.

    Suarez should be in AAA. Angels need to have a bullpen game or ask if someone from the stands wants to pitch. I'm worried about his mental health at this point.

    @totdprods - So there is a given that players have to adjust, especially to the shift. But pitchers are being chewed up at an alarming rate. Could it be that today's pitchers are trying to pitch to the defensive shift to their own detriment? Starters are lasting, in starts AND innings pitched around the league. I looked up and found that 93 MLB starters had 20 or more games started. I believe this should be about 130 or more.

    Reminds me when the outfield moved in on Reggie Willits. Since he didn't have any kind of power to make the outfielders honest. I think that is why Trout is in a class by himself - if the opposition figures out somehow to get him out, he works on that aspect of his game.

    I always thought the A's might come here, especially when they were so impressed with the city several years ago when they opened the season here. If a team comes here I would hope it would be a NL team, obviously. Obviously, the Henderson Angels has a nice ring to it.

    Dave Chalk was an awesome player for the Angels. I remember him more as a 3rd baseman though, although he could play all 3 infield positions.
