  1. Dipoto would be all over that. May even sweeten the deal.
  2. Thank you for your invaluable contributions.
  3. And games where he didn't give up a run his era was 0.00. You're cherry picking. And his ERA will climb being in the AL with the designated hitter. His road stats might be what he sees in the AL.
  4. When your bullpen gets taxed to the point they are ineffective, yes. a 7 inning pitcher makes a hell of a difference. Of course we should be able to do that for a lot less than $36 mill a season.
  5. If he makes the big club he'll need to change his last name. I don't think they can stock jerseys that say fuck off.
  6. Interesting teams on this list, looks like they want to eliminate the whole Pioneer League: https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/all-42-teams-reportedly-up-for-elimination-in-mlbs-minor-league-reduction-proposal/ Remember when baseball wanted to contract the Angels? I hope they back down on this too. Several of these teams look profitable.
  7. I know I posted something similar on Quora. I don't think I tweeted it though.
  8. All joking and whatever @tdawg87 posted aside, wasn't the ruling on the Sox about being unbecoming of a baseball player? The rule seems to apply here. Banning of all involved might be harsh, but fair.
  9. Three things kept Tommy John from the hall of fame: 1. Sinkerball pitcher - soft throwing pitchers have a hard time making it. 2. The Chicago White Sox (early 1970's) - those were some absolutely putrid teams the White Sox fielded. 3. Having Tommy John surgery which robbed him of a year and a half. ;)
  10. So is a sneak off the roster when no one is looking candidate? He pitched for the Mariners last year, so I assume Dipoto doesn't want him.
  11. Isn't the whole site full of them? Oh wait! I thought you mentioned Drama Queens in leotards.... My bad.
  12. They probably should have got rid of him sooner. That's the bad part about any depth.
  13. A friend of mine visited the set for this movie - the gas station was a closed station they had set back up. They also had put up some ungodly amount that they were charging for gas like $3.50 a gallon (gas then was around $0.80) and some lady came up the station and was pissed that no one would pump her gas. She also wouldn't believe it was a movie set.
  14. Hmm... So if you're a player an KNOW someone is taking drugs, and you don't report it, you're off the hook? What a screwed up sport we have.
  15. Texas doesn't have a state income tax. If he signs with the Angel's or the Yankees, he's going to ask Boras why his take home is lower.
  16. Which is double talk for "nothing we've tried so far"
  17. I think Nagy fixed Robles. The Mets wouldn't allow him to throw one of pitches, and the Nagy did. I really wondered about Barria. It looked like there was no direction from anyone when he was pitching.
  18. It would be humorous though. Maybe that Ranger Fan guy that lives with his mother and goes through way too much Kleenex would post again...
