I was trying to think of something funny or sarcastic to say, but, after watching this slow death march of a season, I got nothing.

I don't know if it has anything to do with Sosh admitting he made a mistake, but I just saw a giant pig with red eyes hovering outside my 2nd story bedroom window.

Signing the manager to an unprecedented 10 year contract (honestly, is there another manager who has ever received more than a 5 year deal) thus allowing him to have unprecedented control over a young, inexperienced GM.

Don't know about spokes in a wheel but watching this team this seasom reminds me of the time I was riding my bike when I was 9. I was pedaling up a steep hill in a standing position when my chain broke. I came crashing down on the crossbar and I won't get into details but if you're a dude and an Angels' fan, you know the feeling.

The way things have been going with this franchise, Beltre would have come here and been Gary Gaetti part 2.

Maybe Burlington had a couple of openings on the groundskeeping crew. That's the only way this makes sense to me.

gurn67 got a reaction from stormngt in Braun suspended remainder of 2013 season
Fartolo has absolutely nothing to lose. He knows if he doesn't cheat, his career's over and he goes home to his tens of millions. He's adding over $100,000 to that every week he's not suspended and he's on the active roster getting to do something he loves. This isn't the NCAA where wins, awards and titles get stripped when teams or their players cheat, so the A's have absolutely nothing to lose either. The signing by the A's and MLB's obliviousness on the highly questionable resurgence of a proven cheater has been an embarrassment to the league and the A's but neither seems to care.

If Verna and his contract could be traded, TWICE, anybody is tradeable.

He's been a real bright spot for the Rangers and A's this year!

gurn67 got a reaction from Vegas Halo Fan in Hamilton will not turn it around this year.
His slugging pct. is .484 with nobody on base proves that he can still be productive. It's the gradual decline as you add the pressure of driving in a run that's disturbing. .327 with a runner on first. .125 with RISP.
If those numbers were more balanced then I would go with the "he's done" or "it's something physical" argument.
It seems you either have to let him play himself out of it or bench him. However, if I knew how to fix a player who's putting way too much pressure on himself due to signing an enormous contract with a new team, I'd be living in a much nicer house than I am now.

Great, lets add another laid back guy to the coaching staff who couldn't draw a walk even when he was being pitched around at the peak of his career.
