The most unbelievable thing about the story is that despite attacking a young child, the pitbull still had his "case" heard by two cops, and then had an "appeal." These aren't human beings, for Christ sake. They are animals that should be put down (humanely) the moment they show aggression.

i think it's important to remember that the closing of their their twitter accounts was done by twitter, not by the government. as private company, they are free to do business with whom they choose, and to reject doing business with those who don't abide by the TOS.

What a ****ing joke. When I read this stuff I actually wonder if the person typing it hates America or if they might be happier living somewhere else. I realize we do bad things as a country but to compare us to ISIS is pathetic.

And don't discount Drew Rucinski, who was excellent in AA last year.

I don't see anything intriguing about Green. Besides being able to hit for average, he brings nothing else. No power, patience, defense, etc

Oh i get it. It's a small sample size if you want that player to start, but it's not if you think he should be on the bench.
    makes sense

The team seems to be really focusing on ways to improve on the defensive side of the game -- Green falls seriously short in that department.  I don't really get why people are so hell bent in playing him at 2B.  Given that I don't think much of Matt Joyce's defensive abilities, I'd much sooner have Green split time in LF and at DH than play him everyday at 2B.

what has Grant Green done to garner all of this support?
was it his .635 OPS in 2014?
or was it the 4 hits in his last 27 ABs last year?

When I was in high school, in 1995, I think, they implemented the rule that you had to stay in the box. Step out, and you got a strike called on you. Everyone hated the rule, everyone forgot the rule and stepped out and got a strike called, and then everyone started complying religiously. It turned out to be no big deal once you got the hang of it. This won't be an issue by the end of April.

I don't believe any scout or talent evaluator can make realistic assessments of these prospects unless they spend a significant amount of time watching them play. And with 30 organizations, 5 times to an organization, that is impossible for any of these national scouts.
Even the Angels own head of player development is unlikely to see any one starting pitcher throw more than 5 or 6 times in a season.

Kubitza was 23, not 25 (he turned 24 in July, but it was considered his age 23 season). And he slugged .470 with an isolated slugging percentage of .175, in a pitcher's park. That isn't exactly punch and Judy.

I find Kubitza to be one of the team's most important prospects. Good third basemen are hard to find, especially for this organization. It will be great for the organization if he can develop into even just a league average player. And the huge improvements he has made the last two years make it fun to think about his potential ceiling.
