So many people are completely discounting Ohtani returning to the Angels.  But he’s got a place in his heart for the team, the fans.  Angels have a legit shot of him returning.  

I know it's a pipe dream but my hope is the Angels sign Shohei Ohtani and he recruits Yamamoto to sign and be the ace of the club in 2024 with the thought that they both spearhead the Angels to success together as the best 1-2 punch in baseball out of the rotation in 2025 and beyond.

Who says we won't?  Everyone acting like it's a certainty we won't sign him is being pretty dumb.  He cleared out his locker because he's out for the season.  People need to stop acting like the overreactions of idiots on Twitter tell the story of reality.

Never say never. But if you're asking what I think they're going to do, I don't think they're going to trade him.
I think they feel they have a better chance of re-signing him than all of you do.

Isn't it possible they are just filling the void until Matt Vasgersian is free of his other contractual duties? I'm assuming that's who they want going forward if they can have him, but he isn't available for every game yet. Maybe by next season.
I don't know. I could be wrong. Just my two cents.

I'm not a billionaire. I don't see how 5 million is that big of a deal. Especially when you'll likely win a lot more ball games getting you more revenue. People here act like going over the tax will bankrupt him.
