STLCardinalsFan got a reaction from 2002_halos_II in I'm not convinced it's over.
Once upon a time (2011) the Cardinals were 10 1/2 games out and at the last moment decided eh what the heck let's play some baseball. Game 162 which started the magical run that lead to the most exciting 129 minutes of baseball history. From there the Cardinals then went on to win the World Series (I'd like to thank the Braves for their epic collapse that made this all possible)
I'm not saying the Angels will do what the Cardinals did, but until you are eliminated there is always a chance.
There is still a lot of baseball to be played and hopefully the Angels can turn things around.

Mike Sciosia from the Titanic:
"The ship was doing well and then one unfortunate incident creates some confusion. Obviously things are not going as we expected but the crew and coaches continue to work hard while we are taking on water. You just need to tip your hat to the iceberg and turn the page."

I would not prefer a Simers article. The article in the OP didn't have anything useful or interesting in it. It was entertaining to see how folks in the Angels camp try to spin an atrocious situation as the worst MLB in the AL.*
*The 2013 Astros are not a MLB team -- they are a AA all-Star team that deceived Selig into letting them play against the big boys.

STLCardinalsFan reacted to Angel Oracle in I wish our team was like the A's
Cardinals quietly have the best record in MLB. Nicely done, and the right way too

STLCardinalsFan reacted to Angel Oracle in Is Trumbo becoming a clubhouse leader?
It is his 3rd full season, and he's 27.
Not a bad time to become a leader, given his 9 years in the org

STLCardinalsFan reacted to Hoops McCann in Oh look, the Skankees arrive tomorrow.
I've watched many an Angels game...so many that I considered poking my own eyes out (but, then...I just go an watch the Cardinals highlights and all is well again).
The Yankees offense is terrible...actually, putrid is a better description. Outside of Cano (Gardner to small extent), no one in that line-up can hit.
Texeria...Hafner...Wells...Nix...Stewart. You gotta be kidding me...that is almost a AAA line-up.

Set a franchise record for most losses (96 in 1968)?

He'll then sign with the Astros, where he'll hit .600 against us and .150 against everyone else in the league.

That would give Josh the chance to strike out 12 times in one day! A golden sombrero hat trick!

What an idiot for pulling a guy that was still throwing really well. Just 74 pitches.

The problem with the Angels' book is that we have been stuck on the same chapter (MS) for the past 524 pages.

I just don't even know what to say. I never thought the Angels would be just a few games above the AAstros.
I mean at least you guys haven't hit Cubs low yet...on their forums they always talk about getting together and drinking Kool-Aid or something involving bungee jumping off bridges without the bungees.
So at least you guys have that going for you.

And we all know what happens when you kick the dog:
When you kick the dog, you have to take it to the vet for treatment. When you take it to the vet, you notice the vet's young assistant is hot. When you notice she's hot, your wife makes you sleep on the couch. When you sleep on the couch, you get crab lice. When you get crab lice, your wife thinks you slept with the vet's assistant, and files for divorce. When you get divorced, you start frequenting prostitutes. When you frequent prostitutes, you get drunk. When you get drunk, you don't use condoms, When you don't use condoms, you get HIV. When you get HIV, you get visited in the hospital by Magic Johnson. When you get visted by Magic Johnson, he gives you a Dodger hat.
Don't get visited in the hospital by Magic Johnson with a Dodger hat

STLCardinalsFan reacted to bloodbrother in There's a Malaise about this team
The answer is that they just aren't a good team. Playing with more fire and heart or whatever won't make them magically pitch better or win more games
they suck. It's that simple. Bad teams lose and lose a lot, and this team loses a lot.
