If the Angels move to Long Beach; given the team's history, I'll tell you exactly what will happen.
Mike Trout will be the first to arrive at the stadium on Opening Day. At precisely the time he walks out on the field to warm up - a tsunami will hit the stadium and sweep Trout out into the pacific ocean. An intensive man hunt will take place and Jo Adell will insist on being a part of the search team because that's just the kind of guy he is.
A second wave of the tsunami will hit and Adell will also be swept out to sea.
Forced into a desperate situation - the Angels will be forced to sign the sons of Vernon Wells and Gary Matthews, Jr. to replace Trout and Adell.
The team will lose 150 games.
Arte will sell the team and they will move to Portland, sign Vlad, Jr. and Ronald Acuna, Jr. and win six consecutive World Series' with AJ Pierzynski managing the club.
Several members of AW will be indicted for planning to blow up the stadium in Portland. They will post bail, thanks to the generosity of Albert Pujols, who feels bad for them.
Eventually, they'll all be sent to San Quentin - where they will live out their days yelling at the clouds.
Sadly, tank will be the first to pass away because he's forced to eat meat.
Stradling will eventually escape, digging his way out of the prison using illegal straws from In 'n Out.
Chuck will organize a prison-wide fantasy baseball league that is so volatile that all the managers in the league will end up killing each other - while wardens kevinb and backupthetruck look the other way, laughing.
Lou will never see the inside of a prison because he becomes the state's key witness - turning over thousands of posts implicating all of the AW members planning to bomb the stadium.
Inside Pitch will also escape when he makes a fool out of the prosecuting attorney, but is shot to death outside the court house by former AW members who were made to look like fools from past arguments.
Taylor will also escape by moving to Washington, DC and taking refuge under Trump's couch. The very couch the took a dump on when visiting the White House in 2019.
I could go on and on... but you get the picture...
To be continued.... (?)
Don't forget the real tragedy here as @Jeff Fletcherwill be forced to become the Dodgers beat writer for the OC Register.

How much will Long Beach pay the gangs to relocate closer to Dodger Stadium?

If I can get deep for a moment, sometimes it really frustrates me when I hear fans call a player garbage or say he sucks or doesn’t care or any of that stuff, since I have talked to these guys and watched them and I know they are giving it all they have and when they fail, they hate it. The major leagues are hard and the difference between fans loving you and hating you is often pretty small.
Anyway, carry on...
Well said Jeff. I enjoy that you give us that inside perspective from the clubhouse.
With that being said I've been ragging on Bour and Cody Allen most of the season, and I totally gave La Stella shit at the beginning of the season (Which I was way wrong on that one). Do I feel that Bour really cares about his production and how his teammates view him, and wants to win? Absolutely I do. Will I stop giving him crap for being a pretty bad player this season because he is a good guy who works hard? Probably not, but at least I'm being honest about it.
On the flip-side Calhoun hasn't been all that good for a few seasons now yet he is still one of my favorite players, and a rarely give him any crap, but I feel like Calhoun gives 100 percent every-time he is up at the plate or in the field, I just don't get that sense from Bour. Maybe it's just the difference in body language similar to Peyton Manning vs Eli Manning.

You guys are f'n weird
We sit on an internet forum and talk about how much we miss lasagna and how gay we are for Mike Trout. Yes, yes we are.

Meanwhile professional Mike Scioscia impersonator Bob Johnson is enjoying a nice dinner and retirement in Hawaii when he is suddenly ambushed by @FabulousFabregas's paparazzi friend. Mr Johnson did not tip his cap and turn the page on this day as the photo sent to AW.com would be the last we ever heard from this mysterious friend. RIP

No mention of the stat that worries me most, the TTC (Tip the Cap) Rate. It's down almost 100% from last year. DFA Trout

Closes the book on Canning and he is inline for the win. If I see even a whiff of Cody Allen I am going to type very strongly worded comments in this thread!

I have not liked at all how Ausmus has been dealing with our starters lately! Hope he turns it around
I haven't liked how Ausmus has been dealing with our team so far....

How high was Canning's pitch count getting in the minors? Felt like he ran out of gas about this time last time he pitched as well.
I think they got him to 80 maybe once? That was one of the main issues was the fact that he rarely threw over 80 pitches in a game.
-
Honestly Canning is still throwing pretty good pitches. He made a mistake earlier in the inning but most of the Tigers hits haven't been solid knocks. A really good outing, and hopefully he doesn't get screwed with 3 ER on his line.

Canning technically has a no hitter through 5. Looking dominant out there.

Something off with Trout.
Damn, Ohtani just missed that one.
Yeah Trout definitely looks off the past few games. Probably drank the water in Mexico.

I think Gubi and Rojas a pretty good. Relative to other broadcasts that I’ve heard anyway.
At least we don’t have to pretend some 87 year old man that can’t remember what he said 5 mins earlier is amazing.
I cringe when the Angels are on an FS1 or ESPN broadcast, as I generally can't stand their PBP guys. One of the best parts of having MLB.tv is that I get to choose my broadcast. The only time I would ever listen to someone else was Vin Scully a few years ago.

I like Rojas and Gubi so much more than Rex and Phys. Those two were awful.
I agree. You can tell Victor and Gubi are having fun out there, and I think Victor is one of the best PBP guys in baseball. I also love that Victor will call out bad plays/bad calls when he sees em.

Probably the best lineup of the year, even with Cozart starting.
-
I remember the past few years around this time thinking to myself that the team seemed to be going through the motions, and I honestly blamed it on Scioscia thinking his "Tip the cap and turn the page" was the culprit, I see the same effect this year. Maybe it just has more to do with building momentum throughout the season? It's probably Justin Bour's fault just because I enjoy blaming his fat ass for being on this team.

This belongs in the AW thread Hall of Fame.

I'm not gonna lie, this is one ugly ass stadium....
....still nicer than the Oakland Coliseum.

There exists a hole in my heart where my "Fire Brad Ausmus" used to be....oh wait he is still a shitty manager, fire his ass.
-
I wanted to heckle La Stella when I saw the Angels play in Seattle, I was pretty baffled that he was starting. He has proven me wrong, and been a good addition so far. Goodwin has been a nice surprise too.
I've been on the Fletcher bandwagon for a while so I'm not getting off it anytime soon, he reminds me of Eckstein only better defensively, he really should be leading off.

I don't miss "Good" Trout, I much prefer this "Great" Trout I just saw.

Yes, lets pinch hit the hardest guy in baseball to strike out with a guy who literally just struck out.
