I honestly believe that Shoe has figured it out. Maybe it's the mechanics or he is just letting it fly, I think we're seeing what Shoemaker is going to be. I say keep him and let's ride this out. Unless we are just overwhelmed by an offer, hold onto him until the trade deadline.

I watched it again last night. My only question is how the fuck is Bran going to get to wherever he needs to next? Dude is stuck in the middle of nowhere with no legs and a teenage chick. Not to mention how he has grown into a full blown man in 5-6 years, so he'll be elderly next year.

Anyone watching games with Simmons should be able to see that he does things that are simply amazing. His value is his ability to catch/tag from the catcher, quickly release on ground balls, etc. He creates extra outs , removes baserunners, and saves runs. 

That was my take when we made the trade. Everyone was cheering, pointing out his WAR and age, ozzie smith comps, etc. But to me a guy like that only makes sense to a winning team that needs the final piece, a la OC going to boston back in the day.
We can marvel at his glove all day long, and it is amazing. But when a team cant pitch and canthit, it doesnt matter how much of a superfreak glove you have at one position, especially when said glove comes with no bat at all.
He switched leagues and missed some time. Hopefully he improves a bit. But hes batting 9th now ... for the angels...think about how bad you gotta be to get there...

Simmons ends the game by grounding into a double play..but he plays good D.

Up until this episode, I really wasn't too much into Arya, but I didn't see this coming.  This really changed my mind on her character and now I can't wait to see what she will do next season.
This had some major bloodletting and I was surprised on how many ate it.  They also set up next season really well. Anticipation is already killing me.

The fact is that Escobar has been the best we've had at third base in a very long time. Personally, I have no problem with his defense or base running. As always everything is overly exaggerated here. Yes, I watch all the games. 
There's no way the Angels are going to pack it in for 2017. It's not happening guys.
 I don't have a problem if traded but it does create a hole in the lineup.  I trust Eppler more than I have any of the past GM's. 

Why isn't the black community making waves over this? A single thug in Ferguson assaults a cop, gets shot, and a whole movement is sparked, yet blacks are murdering each other by the hundreds in Chicago and the black community apparently doesn't give a fuck.

Dipoto was the GM here for 3.5 years.  This team still has his fingerprints on it.... He will likely remain a topic of conversation until that isn't the case anymore and even then I suspect his name will come up when people talk about Angels GMs, particularly given the way he exited.  So, instead of telling us to "get over it" maybe you would be wise to learn how to "deal with it" or maybe you should ask yourself why you are so concerned with what we talk about in the first place.. it's not like it affects the Ms in any way....   Better yet, would you like for me to show you where you went on record saying you "don't care what Angel fans think"...  If that's the case...  why are you here white knighting JD and the Ms?

This is a thread that directly references Dipoto AND the Mariners. I don't know why you guys still talk about Dipoto or anything he is related to, he is no longer an employee of the Angels. He tried something in Anaheim and it didn't work out. Get over him ... both teams have problems.
I'd don't go in your game threads and boast about winning or losing ... don't expect to make threads directly relating to the Mariners and not have the few Mariner fans who post here pop up.
I'm not measuring dicks ... its baseball and it really doesnt matter beyond fandom in the grand scheme of things. We both suck ass currently.

And back talking about injuries. Pitcher (Adrian Sampson) was supposed to make his 2nd start for Wade Miley today, threw 2 warm-up pitches and was out of the game .... injuries blow.

What's frustrating is we have so many opportunities to actually win these games. It's not like we're the '62 Mets or something.

Angels needed an immediate MLB SP. If you didn't notice Richards, Skaggs, Wilson, Trop, and Heaney are all on the DL. With no money to spend this deal has worked out pretty well. He's been better than Shields who cost a lot. 

I'm still giving the bullpen a decent chance of blowing this.

I used to get upset over articles like this, but I've seen them proven wrong too many times to care. I remember the Angels farm system was Mike Trout and no one else, and I used to scream my head off about Richards, Calhoun, Grichuk and Cron. 
I remember reading so many articles a year and a half ago about our lack of pitching and I'd swear on Tropeano, Skaggs, Ellis, Newcomb and Heaney.
This time, like so many others, we still have the prospects to compete again. This time around, we're actually in better shape. Trout, Calhoun, Simmons, Cron, Richards, Heaney, Tropeano, Skaggs....that's a solid young core to build around. Futhermore, we have 50 million coming off the books this year, and after next year we're losing Ham's 20 million. 
This team has the young core, prospects and financial security to rebuild into a contender in short order.

Personally, I believe Trout is a team player and couldn't careless about garbage articles like this one. 
Does that mean Trout will extend with the Angels? I don't even think Trout knows at this junction in his career.

So sad. Having a one and three year old, this just hits home for me. To be honest if I was in the parents position, I don't know how I could go on with life.

I have lost my desire and motivation.  I can usually get motivated and keep myself from going completely off the deep end, but the last few months have been impossible.  I got down to 223lbs and now I'm close to 240lbs again.  It's been five years since I was below 220lbs.  

Great to have The Hound back...

I like that Jamie is showing a conflicted personality. Good guy one minute, bad ass the next.
