People keep talking about the Bourjos/Freese aspect of this trade but it's the Grichuck/Salas part that has me befuddled.

I guess I'm in the minority here and like this deal. Oh well, some of you valued Bourjos higher and I get why you're butthurt.

The issue with this deal is adding in Grichuk and only getting Salas back.

Relax, it wasn't Bourjos.

There is a lot of over reaction in this thread. I love Peter, but man he struggled to stay healthy, and we have needed a third baseman forever. I am not saying Freese is perfect, but I prefer him to having Jimenez there.

People still overvalue our players.
 
Bourjos is not going to bring much in trade.

Not quite as dumb as suggesting that the Angels try to acquire a young pitcher from the Cardinals without giving up Trout. Trout is the only thing the Angels can bring to the table if Martinez, Rosenthal, Kelly, Miller, or Wacha are included in the negotiation. Hands down. Lynn is a different story.

what he did in 10 games in the postseason has very little bearing on what he could potentially do over the course of 162 in the regular season, which is what will make a difference in the Angels making the playoffs.

Yeah you guys are right, people should just put up with the bully mentality that occurs. While I would somewhat agree that bullying is much more commonplace amongst the youths than adults, one needs to remember that many athletic locker rooms are very much an immature society where stupidity and immature behavior reigns. No worries though, just grow thick skin and deal with it and lets not try to better a segment of society that is clearly in need of such. 
 
That is a truly ignorant stance and while there will always be losers who feel the need to bully due to their personal perceived deficiencies, that does not mean an attempt should not be made to reduce the occurrences of such activity. The weight and height of an individual has no bearing on their mental state and ability to handle harsh teasing/bullying. People have always cried wolf in society or overreacted, which is why the term exists in our lexicon in the first place. That may be the case with Howell or even Martin but that does not mean it should not be taken seriously and investigated.

Storm comparing what goes on here to what goes on in the locker rooms of professional sports teams. I hace no knowledge of what goes on there, but I'm going to say they're not similar.
And how much someone makes is irrelevant to whether or not they should put up with it. So it's ok to "bully"or whatever word you want to use a guy who makes a lot of money, but not ok to do the same to someone who's unemployed?
I'm going to go to a mental health clinic and ask why everyone is there. They don't need help with what they're dealing with, they just need to be a man about it. It's a part of life.
