Nolasco and Chavez will both end up being .500 pitchers.  Where we need to see the results are from Skaggs, Shoemaker and Richards, when he comes back. 
Otherwise, we just have to stay close to the pack until another team decides to sell, and we try to pick up another starter.  I'd pick up every dime of what Verlander is owed to have him come here and anchor our starting rotation.

We could trade a reliever on the 40-man (Morin), to make room.  Trade/Sell Pennington to the Yankees for a clean peanut.  They are in temporary need of a SS to cover for Gregorius for about six weeks.

Maybe we could trade a guy like Morin for another clean peanut?

I'm happy with Espinoza, for now.  At the deadline, Wong's asking price from St. Louis may have dropped considerably, if he's part of a platoon.

If the Dodgers move an OF, which seems likely, I'd have some interest in Thompson or Van Slyke.

Not a dumpster dive when the Angels can pick up a guy that can throw 95 mph, IMO.

Maybe toward the end of ST we could put something together like Cron and Escobar for a very unhappy Evan Longoria?
