  1. The next two years worry me, too. His velocity is still ok, but his pitches are flat. Even mediocre hitters are drilling him. He may turn in to the lefty specialist we are looking for.
  2. John Buck, Cron, Randy Wolf, Rasmus, Roth.
  3. Latos will never clear waivers. Even if he did, I doubt we'd have the players to send to the Reds. A four-man rotation would work, I think, if we had more off-days. We don't. Some combination of Roth, Wolf, or Rasmus is what we have in house, maybe a trade for Buehrle or Dickey is about all we could hope for.
  4. Buehrle's ERA has been over 5 for the last two months. Reverting to career norms. Dickey, as an innings eater, would be nice.
  5. Dickey. Knuckleballers can pitch forever.
  6. Won't be Herrera. My money is on Wolf.
  7. Can we please put all of our pitchers on the Matt Shoemaker workout for next season? Whatever he's doing, it works!
  8. I don't know, a couple of the arms in AA are putting up some pretty good numbers. DeLoach is pitching to a 1.98 ERA in AA, and he was very good here in San Bernardino. Kohn has a big arm, and will pitch again in the majors for someone. There are a couple of pieces left that may bring in a starting pitcher.
  9. Phil Hughes is pitching fairly well in Minnesota. Kennedy would be a nice addition, if he clears waivers.
  10. Reggie hit a lot of his wearing number 9.
  11. Not gonna happen. He's an east coast only guy. See the above post reference the family and a fear of flying.
  12. I hope we don't have any of these guys on our team.
  13. Wow. Grilli for nothing. I wonder where Ernie's stuff went?
  14. I'm just wondering why we seem to be collecting so many relievers. Some of them will have to go. (Kohn, Salas)
  15. I would rather have Efren Navarro than Cron at this point. Everyone, even Navarro, has power at Coors Field.
  16. Buck has some power in his bat. Mike likes to carry three C's sometimes. May have something here.
  17. Edwin Jackson=Nuke La Loosh. Million dollar arm, 10 cent head.
  18. I would guess it depends on how good (or bad) Lee looks in his start on Monday. He will have lots of eyes on him.
  19. This is where Scioscia and I differ. I would like to see the team add another starting pitcher, and try to rest the bullpen for the stretch run. If we could add Price or Kennedy, and turn Santiago and/or Shoemaker into long relievers, or spot starters, I think we could stay on this roll.
  20. I would like to get Kennedy from the Padres, and keep Skaggs. I don't think we have the pieces to get Price without subtracting from the ML club.
  21. DiPoto does this trade if he wants to be like Bowden, a former general manager.
