    Just my opinion, but I think Green is a 2B only, and a bit of a defensive liability at the other positions he plays.

    Green isn't a major downgrade from Kendrick? Wow. OK, but the only way I move Kendrick out is if Lester, or a similar 2-3 type SP comes back.

    Where would Upton play? Keep in mind, he'll want more money than Hamilton. I'd rather we go over on Lester, if he wants to pitch here.

    You think Newcomb and Ellis are headed here? I hope so, but I think that both of those guys may be fast tracked and go to double A.

    I would like to think that the Angels are the mystery team. No draft choice compensation attached to the player, the team philosophy is that they would go over the cap for the right player, and we could still move a piece or two off of the roster to stay relatively close to the cap. Plus, I think we need another top shelf arm to team with Weaver until Richards comes back.

    The only thing that bothers me about him is that none of us has seen that guy since 2012. Not even for a minute.

    That is a ridiculous contract. It won't even play well for 1 season, much less 5. Wow, good for Martin, though.

    I could see it if they move a couple of contracts, like CJ's for example.

    For myself, it would depend on what we got in return. Beckham and Green are decent options, but there would be a dropoff from Kendrick. If Howie's entire contract is moved, we'd have a little more cash to spend in the FA market, with an emphasis (I hope) on starting pitching. I think we are stuck with Hamilton. I would like to find a younger option to play in the outfield, but I can't see any chance of moving that contract.

    How about Trevor Plouffe? Minnesota' s top prospect, Sano, is a 3b, right? Plouffe is a OC guy, and is FA eligible after 2015.

    Dude made a great game saving catch for us and had a good year in 2013. Hope he gets more opportunities in Cleveland.
