No GM just walks through the door and instantly improves both the 25 man roster and minor leagues in a couple months.  Eppler first priority was start building for the future and he did by getting Simmons. After that it has been all damage control from what Dipoto left him to work with,  a depleted farm and several holes in the 25 man roster.
Now if Eppler had Dipoto's war chest to work with you may have seen something more substantial but what he was left with was a tight budget,  no prospects and a roster that needed 8 new bodies.
But your narrow ass view is only about a small sliver of what has to be done and so,  no,  I'm not buying your whining bullshit,  sell it to someone that is as ass backwards about the team as you are.

Your take on the Hamilton situation makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. You're actually paying him $2 million dollars (not to play) of what we would be paying him if we had kept him. You are getting nothing for that $2M. Also, you are brain dead if you think Hamilton was ever walking away from his contract. 
As for Odor, he's batting in the .270s this year. I don't know what constitutes being on fire in Texas, but that doesn't come close anywhere else in the country.
