How would that video board display work? It looks like a projection display.

As illustrated, it probably wouldn't. Even if they found a way, like how they put graphics on a curved roof over Fremont Street, it would be at such an extreme angle that it would be virtually useless to anyone sitting on the first base side.

Another observation that came from these illustrations is that there is no apparent seating in left field. I can't imagine that many people willingly standing for an entire baseball game

Thanks I've grown up with the sport living in Australia and was just wondering what an American perspective of the game was. The Vegas game was pretty massive news over here and they have committed to the season opening over there for the next 4 years so if my team is playing will probably head over.

It made me a fan of the South Sydney Rabbitohs. They have one of the most unique names in sports, and I was surrounded by their fans in the south end zone. They were a blast to be around, even though their team lost.

Just curious what you thought about the rugby league and was it your first time watching it?

It was my first time seeing a live match. I know very little about the game. I only went because a friend who spent two years in graduate study in Australia gifted me the ticket. I found it entertaining once I gained a little more understanding of the rules. One thing that I found interesting was when a trainer would be bandaging a player on the field, and the game clock was still running. The clock doesn't stop for much. One interesting practice was kicking the ball into the stands along the sideline. The team that kicked it out then begins play at the spot on the field where the kick went out of bounds.

The better question is, has he hit the ball out of the infield yet?

He actually had a hard hit ball to the outfield, but it was right at the right fielder.

His double play partner is Jackson Nicklaus - no relation to the famous pro golfer, despite the similarity in name.

They also have twin brothers in the bullpen - from my home town of Jacksonville, FL. Both throw in the mid 90s.

I also commend the organizers for misspelling Berkeley on the scorecards given out at the game.

Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time should be illegal to play. McCartney should be in jail for recoding it.

I can't tell you how many times that I heard that crap over the holidays. The wife insisted on keeping the holiday music channel tuned in on SiriusXM. I must have heard it about a billion times - along with versions of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells by every known artist, living or dead. Add to this one All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey.

  6. Don't know what the Knights are going to do. Eichel is on LTIR, and Stone has a lacerated spleen and is out for the rest of the regular season and possibly the first round of the playoffs. Supposedly Eichel was to have become available during the current road trip, but so far it hasn't happened. According to a local news story, three days ago he skated for the first time since injuring his knee.

So the bank, the accessor, the appraiser and the owner all agreed it was worth more than $18 million but a NY judge comes in and fines Trump for over $400 million? You people are either willfully ignorant or just plain stupid.

    Not quite.

In July 2020, the Trump Organization received an appraisal with a value of $84.5 million, but on the 2020 Statement the Trump Organization valued Trump Park Avenue at $135.8 million.

wow, my bucket list includes such mundane things as going to a home football game for ohio state.

I'm doing my part to draw you out of your shell.

If you're interested, the Ohio State baseball team is playing in a four team tournament at the Las Vegas Ballpark March 1-3. I'm thinking about trying to catch one of the Oklahoma games. Cal and Pitt are the other two teams.

  9. PR would be the most obvious reason. It can also create ties. Because of spring training associations, George Steinbrenner made generous financial contributions to the University of Florida. He had lights installed at their baseball stadium, and their state of the art music building bears his name. I believe that the Yankees once played the Gators on campus.
