Florida is back in finally, but their center broke his leg early in the first half of the SEC title game. Their stay is likely to be a short one.

Darryl Dawkins came to the University of Florida on a (no-chance) recruiting visit while I was there. He attended one of our games.

da bearssss traded justin fields to the steelers.
Not sure what the end game is in Pittsburgh, signing Wilson and then trading for Fields.
The Raiders signed Gardner Minshew. I was hoping that they would trade for Fields - especially seeing how little that it took for Pittsburgh to swing a deal.

I saw a YouTube interview of multiple Trump supporters this past week. Several of them said that they are willing to sacrifice democracy for a dictatorship if he is reelected.

Yup. Announcers keep saying this team is on a back to back and they'll be tired. And not once this season has the other team looked tired.
I was getting the St. Louis radio feed early in the game. The announcers said that the Blues were playing the second game of the ninth of ten back-to-backs today. Their last comes on a west coast road swing at San Jose and Anaheim in April.

Is this our current MO - two solid periods and then implode.
Vegas has recently fallen into a similar pattern, giving up multiple goals in the third period and blowing leads in several games. That is one reason why they find themselves where they are in the standings.

They got themselves evicted from their arena for non-payment and now they're waiting for some state or municipal taxpayers to bail them out with land and a building. Bettman really wants a team in Arizona and it should be working but they (ownership) refuse to act like top professionals. Even if they end up moving a new expansion will end up in Phoenix but it will be same old shit until they force these clowns to sell
Thanks for the background. I haven't really dug into it, other than hearing others remark about the unsuitability of their current arena situation. They apparently have a decent core group of fans, but it's hard for them to grow it when they are moving around and are fielding bad teams.

I don't know enough about the ownership situation in Arizona to have an opinion on whether that is why their situation is what it is. One thing is clear - they can't continue to play in a 4,500-seat college hockey arena.
The idea was floated about moving them here before the expansion franchise was awarded. Seeing their plight now explains why Bill Foley was only interested in an expansion franchise, not in buying and moving an existing one. He preferred to start fresh rather than inheriting someone else's mistakes.

Got a free album through the mail from The Empty Pockets. Surprisingly good stuff.

I saw U. L. play at AA (along with Frank White and others) in the 1970s. We had KC's AA farm club in Jacksonville.

Take Higbee with last pick, drop him next day and add LaPorta from FA, dominate.
I picked up LaPorta from the FA pool in a ten-team league when my main TE got hurt and I needed a replacement. I would lay money that he won't be sitting in the FA pool next year.
What killed me last year was quarterback. I was in five leagues last year. In three of them, Kirk Cousins was my top QB (this wasn't by design, just how the draft unfolded). When he went down, my season went with him. I did manage to pick up Baker Mayfield in one league, but in the others most of the available QBs were backups and guys on IR. -

What if they keep the A on the cap, so people can still call them the A's, but instead of the Athletics they change the name to the Las Vegas Aces? Can't believe nobody has thought of that.
Oh and also, they should keep the elephant mascot/logo out of respect for the all-you-can-eat buffets littered throughout the city.
For the 50th time: ACES IS ALREADY TAKEN. It's our WNBA team.
