Never could resist a good bargain in electronics. I'm still trying to figure out how $139 is a discount on an item clearly marked $84.99 on the shelf.

And this is coming from a Raiders fan. The 49er fans I know have become insufferable. I was hoping like hell that Detroit would hold on and send their asses home. Instead they are coming here to play for the big prize,

I will go with Carew. Capper to an amazing career. Pujols to me will always be 6-4-3, with him not even in the frame when the throw reached the first baseman.

My conclusion about Biden comes from his own gibberish. So we are both screwed.
No argument here.

Congrats on buying in on the slogan.
Biden isn't a president. He is a man incapable of holding office in advanced stages of dementia proped up by a party afraid of putting a candidate in office that would be independent in execution of policy.
Trump isn't the answer either, so the only true hope for this election is both die of natural causes in the next couple months and there is no choice but to make better choices.
I would love to have a choice that didn't involve either of them. My conclusions about Trump come from his own words.

Biden is definitely not my idea of an ideal president. However, IMO this election comes down to democracy vs. fascism. We can plod along as we are, or spend the next four years watching Trump take revenge against anyone who dares to oppose him, and appointing political donors and sycophants as agency heads and to cabinet positions. Democracy as we know it will be dead with another Trump presidency.

we got under our desks, too, right in front of a bank of 6 foot tall windows across one entire wall. those desks would have also protected us from earthquakes, fires, and tornados.
and since we were less than ten miles from places like TRW and HUGHES and all the aerospace stuff, we figured we would've been taken out pretty quickly in one quick, blinding flash of pure energy.
My city was the home port of the Navy's South Atlantic Fleet. We were on the list.

I apparently misremembered something. I thought that it had to do with Reagins either not going to the winter meetings, or arriving late.

Glad for all of them. Beltre could have been an Angel if Tony Reagins had pulled his head out.

Pfft. We got under our nuclear explosion rated desks. Which we trained for once a month.
I have vivid memories of this. I was in school in Florida during the Cuban missile crisis, and my father was in the military.

They felt no embarrassment because they claimed 20 million viewership on Peacock. The World Series averaged 9 million per game.
I find it difficult to believe that 20 million watched the game on Peacock. The network claimed to have 28 million subscribers at the end of Q3 2023. This means that about 75 percent of them had to be watching the playoff game for their claims to be accurate. I don't buy it.

NBC and the NFL are fucking up putting tonight's game on Peacock. I doubt anyone is signing up to watch one game but many are going to be pissed off.
They tried to put lipstick on the pig by saying that it was the most viewed streaming event ever. No mention of how many millions were prevented from viewing it. I see this as a prelude to the NFL trying to further monetize the playoffs.
The cigar lounge that I hit on weekends said that they were told that they would have to pay $3K in order to carry the game. Needless to say, they passed.

I’m not sure how pundits continue to spew about how great Josh Allen is. The guy is a fucking turnover machine. He continuously forces throws into coverage, and when he does attempt to step up into the pocket, he gets the ball stripped more times than I can count.
He has his moments, but every time the Bills need him to win a big game, he disappears. He’s dogshit under pressure.
I seem to remember an AFC playoff game in Kansas City when he drove them down for a go ahead touchdown in the closing seconds. Unfortunately they left too much time on the clock and the Chiefs tied before winning in OT.
He is a high risk/high reward type of quarterback. He makes plays that most can't make, but he also creates maddening turnovers. I have heard some of the same criticisms leveled at Lamar Jackson.

That's definitely a new one to me as well. Any idea why that happened, or just a defective battery?
My guess is that the battery was crap, but with this phone, who knows?

I had never heard of OnePlus phones before now.
I have met one other person who owns one. I allowed T-Mobile to talk me into one. My best advice is, don't.
