So his first season with the Angels is entirely mediocre after signing a huge contract. Then he misses almost 2 months of the 2014 season, comes back and hits just 8 homeruns with a .247 AVG and a .702 OPS, then gets hurt again and misses the final month of the season including the divison clinching game AND celebration, and he finds it "comical" that fans were booing him when he barely makes the postseason roster and looks like dogshit in his first 3 at bats? Like he expects fans to not boo him because he is hurt?
 
Interesting. It's like a kid in elementary school who is assigned to a huge group project and then gets explosive diarrhea and has to miss 2 weeks of school. Then he comes back after the project is 60% completed, pitches a bunch of shitty ideas that get rejected, then scrapes his knee on the playground and has to miss another week of school. Then he comes back for the final presentation and stands up there with the rest of the group and acts like he did a lot of the work and then finds it "comical" that the teacher doesn't give him the same grade as the rest of the group.

Been a big Angels fan all my life but in 2002 I was only 14 and no one else in my family was really into baseball, so I had to settle for watching the games on TV.  Tonight, I'll be experiencing my first MLB playoff game (and from a dugout suite no less)!  Going to be a hell of a night

I was there. 2002 WS games 5 (in SF) 6 and 7.
I remember going into the old El Torito at State College and Katella with $1000 cash in my pocket and coming out with a single ticket to games 6 and 7 way up in the nosebleed section of the upper deck.
Had about $300 bucks or so left over which I ended up spending on every WORLD CHAMPION ANGELS shirt in existence, including about 5 or 6 repeats that I had already bought before I was too drunk to know the difference on free beers given to me by my brethren in the parking lot.
Complete strangers no more.
We sang yelled cried out and just plain cried together until about 3am the following morning. I think the final out was recorded around 8:30.
Anaheim California collectively lost it's mind that night, and I was there.
The point being I would never consider trading the experience of a lifetime just to get the money back in my pocket. Make your own minds up what is important. I'm just sayin'...

Smith and Langston were all over Rodney for his 8th inning arrow. Then Pujols hit they were talking about the retaliation arrows. After Green's walk off Smith did indeed say that and with that inflection, hitting hard LOSER. Let's just say they were a little homerish this afternoon.
