That is the most bizarre stat I have seen. How are we as bad as we are? Lmao.

When this season ends it will be interesting to analyze what went wrong, and what can we do to correct it.  As of now, I think the biggest thing in a nutshell was focusing entirely on pitching, and not balancing it out with depth on offense.  It was like an overcorrection for what we were seeing in the past few seasons.  We now have pitching, and it looks very promising for the next few years if we can keep Ohtani, and add a top tier starte,r plus tweek the bullpen a little.  Now we just have to breathe some life into the offense, and bolster it with better depth to withstand inevitable injuries.

  2. There are currently only 186 billionaires in California (614 in the total USA), which has the highest number of any state by far in the U.S..  There are not going to be that many single ownership folks to invest that heavily in baseball.  I think we will likely get an ownership group, and it will be tough to predict what's best to do about the Shohei's situation.  I would love for Arte to step in and do whatever it takes to sign him, and then let the new owner deal with it from there.

Baseball is such a crazy game. The Blue Jays are coming off a three-game sweep of the Red Sox and currently hold a wild card berth, yet get blown out by the lowly Angels.

And hey: After tonight's game, Adell is at 0.0 WAR on the year.

It's all up from here for Adel, his goal should be to finish at 1.5 WAR.

as i said in another post, this is something that i get to do with my wife and daughter, so we'll watch every game we can.

i'm looking forward to watching trout and ohtani, as well as detmers and sandoval.

i'd also like to see if there's someone from this band of misfits that breaks out and earns a job for next year.

My wife and I like watching this together, it's a regular thing at our house.  We only miss 15-20 games per year, mainly because of travel if we are somewhere we can't tune in. The season is like reading a book, not all books end well, but the story lines are usually always good.

Probably after Bachman because I think there’s a much better chance Bachman will be a starter than Joyce, although they both could end up as relievers. I don’t know anything about Guzman which is why he isn’t on my list.

There is also Vera and Paris, couple of more shortstops, they seem like light hitters.  Might be trade bait.  I hope we get to see some of these guys in September, just for a look anyway.
